test prop triggering my anxiety?
ad
ok so ever since i've been in the 30s (i will soon be 32) i've noticed i have developed a mild form of anxiety. it doens't always interrupts my sleep except for lately. gear doesn't either unless i'm running tren. i've been running prop lately and i have come to the conclusion that the prop is triggering my anxiety which is causing me lack of sleep. i haven't been to the doctor for my anxiety because i hear anxiety medication can be very addictive and turns u into a zombie. so i guess my question is, has anyone else dealt with a similar situation and what was the solution. NOTE: i have experienced trouble sleeping while on a cycle, this is completely different...thanks guys/grrrls

i just wanna take this moment to thank everyone (bros/grrrls) for your advices and also sharing your experiences. i've been following some of the advices and it has worked for the last week or so. again, thanks everyone !!!
tread-mBest tips I can give you and it may already be here below; increase your cardio sessions, increase your water intake eliminating caffeeine and try to dring nothing but water other than an occassional treat and get the salt out of your life. Never exceed the daily allowance of salt (if that) and never touch a salt shaker again as long as you live! Lol. Make sure you take your cardio supps such as omega 3's, coq10 etc and I even like a baby aspirin a day even though you should talk to your doc about. But cardio is your start point. If I have the anxious thing coming on at night a good 15 climb on the stepper in the cave helps. Monitor your bp it is a big health concern in what we do so I run bp everyday and night to watch it and keep it in check. Some of these things will maybe keep you away from crazy pills which I had to use a couple times myself for constant anxiety. "Check yourself, before you wreck yourself! Lol i'm a firm believer in yoga as is mentioneed, I know it works I'm just too high key to do it, can't dig that deep I'm afraid, hope you can.
thanks bro !!....and yes i'm staying away from the anxiety meds lol. what i've done is pushed back my workout time to an earlier time, no caffeine, upped my cardio. i've also tried some muscle relaxers and it seemed to worked. i try relaxing by staying away from my phone and laptop (and wife lol). also bough a new mattress set and that was a HUGE plus !! i haven't done the baby aspirin yet but will keep that in mind !
Yeah totally bro, its par for the coarse when taking test and other anabolics, i find that keeping beta blockers around tent to work good, actors musicians public speakers all use them to take the edge off the adrenalolisis release that occur on and off during anxiety times. If thats not enough and you find yourself in one of them really bad impending doom situations you really need to have xanex or ativan around, and a good muscle relaxer maybe as well for a nice cocktail, and it will have you right as rain, in 1 hr if you can deal with it that long before calling 911
i know these are the extreems but ive been through it all since winning my first bb competition at age 18 ive known and delt with anxiety for way to long, im not in my 40's and still banging it out in the gym at 5'11 290 with 21 inch arms and 33 inch thighs and 20 inch calfs, im happy i can still do sets of 8 reps with 130's on incline dumbell press. i won the teenage oc at age 18 best chest, back and legs, and most muscular and best poser go figure Rory trained me so posing was outstanding from him. Dont worry about being a zombie if you need it, after you will only feel normal lol, whatever normal is for you
but there is realy nothing worse then that icky feeling of anxiety, ive tried them all GABA, Melatonin , benydryl , nothing works as good as a good xanex when you need to calm down fast because you hit to much test lol. God bless hope this helps!
VOLUME 12Like JimmyMac I also had been diagnosed with PTSD from tours in Iraq. Years or anti depressants and anti psychotics did absolutely nothing but make me feel even worse and gain weight. I was put on Xanax which is a benzodiazapine and that definitely helped with my anxiety...unfortunately when coming of Xanax I had a seizure which isa pretty common withdrawal from long term benzo use. So just be careful man...Benzos work yes, but seizures are no joke and unpredictable. Be safe man.
AnonI started doing it after I had reconstruction surgery on my ankle.. I couldn't do anything else and it really helped me alleviate a LOT of stress. I would find myself deep breathing at work when things were starting to get crazy, without even consciously thinking about it. It is one of the best things I have ever decided to do health wise.
Eliminate your caffeine if you are consuming it. I cut out all caffeine and sleep much better.
I have a little experience with this. I was diagnosed with PTSD about 6 years ago. Had to excavate some of my friends after a helo crash...Anyway I had struggled for years after leaving the service in 2005 and was on Prozac for a while (got fat and winded and even more deppressed---killed the anxiety though).
I tell you this to lead in to what I am about to say...about a year ago I foound AAS and so did my wife! We really have gotten into incredible shape compared to where we had both gone in the last few years. But, anxiety is still an issue! Test actually seems to help my anxiety (probably because i feel better all around). But i can't afford to be on test year round, ect...
SO, what did I try that worked? BUSPAR (buspirone) its a serotonin agonist. Actually increases my sex drive! In addition I am gonna stay in the gym and cycle.
It might be worth a try and it is not addictive like the benzodiazapines (they can cause deppresion by the way)! It simply fixes the defficiancy if you have one (i also noticed I was compensating with sweets a lot). Makes dieting a hell of a lot easier!
I will be forever grateful to this site for providing my wife and i a way to reach our physical potential and just thought I would share some experience. Take care all! MAC
UFOI also have slight anxiety naturally and it gets jacked up while on cycle...dont even get me started about tren. Ive been prescribed Xanax for like 4 years now...my advice is dont go that route. I took it for a year or so during the day and then noticed when I would not take it, my anxiety was 10x worse than when I first started the meds. So like grrrl said it def just makes it worse in the long run, and u dont so much become physically dependant on them, but mentally. If I take the xanax at all these days, it will only be at night time to assist me sleeping maybe once a week, and i take 1/3 of my prescribed dosage. It will also fuck up your memory and make you a walking zombie. I have some friends that got whacked out on that shit, it really does change you. So yea, I'd stay away from the prescribed medications, even klonopins, though they are very mild compared to xanax. My anxiety hits me the hardest when I drink my damn pre workout drink and I'm all jacked up, heart about to beat through my chest. Good music and a solid workout takes cares of that. There really isnt a solid solution to anxiety, you gotta find what works for you, naturally. Me,I gotta keep active and my mind busy, hang out with people, or at night I smoke pot. If your trouble is mainly at night for sleep, find a good non narcotic sleep aid to help on those really rough nights. Hope any of this helps.
Thanks for the advice brother. Yeah i have some buddies that are hooked on xanax which is one of the main reasons im stayin away from it. I changed my work out routine to an even earlier time 5:30am, it seems to be workin for the last 2 days. Riding season is also around the corner and thats a big help for me !!
UFOA fellow rider ay? That is my number one stress reliever by far. Ive actually gotten a few rides in this month which is unheard of for my area...global warmings one benefit I guess.
Yes i am lol. Yesterday was 70 degrees here but i wasnt able to ride. But riding does help with pretty much everything, stress, anxiety, personal problems etc. is amazing how life becomes so simple on two wheels lol
Im pretty much anxious as fuck all the time. I have dealt with this crap long as I can remember. It does suck thats for sure . It just drains me some days. It has gotten much better over last 2 years since I quit drinking and take better care of myself.
I have noticed while on trt it has gotten better also. I know how much that shit sucks.hang in there.
Thanks brother !!!
I have anxiety as well and I Been takin Cymbalta for anxiety for a yr. and 3 months now. Seems to help me. My anxiety is my nerves get the best of me at times. I'm runnin test- e and Deca and to be honest I feel great! No problem bro! I hope all works out for ya!
Thanks brother i will give it a try asap !!
I was at the doc friday. I'm running test prop. My bp was elevated but not too bad 130 over 90. I get nasty headaches that start in my neack and travel up. Apparently im having issues with anxiety too. Just exposing itself in dumb ways. I feel jittery and uneasy periodically. I'm taking juicinators advice, drop the prop to eodinstead of ed and up my weekly cyp intake
now i wonder if me and u are running the same prop lol. but my anxiety hits right before bed. i lay there and start thinking about everything i possibly can !!
I get it sparatically throughout the day. Sometimes i get heart palpatations, sometimes shortness of breath. At night i seem to be ok
Now that i think about it i've had those symptons, but i guess it doesnt bother me as much my mind going at 1000mph when i lay in bed
i will hit my man-cave and start yoga
Anonphysiologically, when your blood pressure is elevated your heart rate will also rise.. when this happens it creases your "feelings" of anxiety.. in very simple terms you need to learn how to do some simple relaxation techniques to get your blood pressure and heart rate lowered which will relieve your feelings of anxiety.. When my blood pressure goes up as it has on my current cycle I expereince a lot of random anxiety, so doing yoga and meditating really help bring down the bp and heart rate.. often physical symptoms can be mistaken for psychological symptoms particularly anxiety... You always want to stay away from psychotropic medications unless you are absolutely non functional because they tend to prolong and increase the recurrence of what you are being treated for.
Yoga and meditation. I need that.
Anonyep.. will bring the bp down quickly nice thing about it is that when you are walking around you find yourself deep breathing without consciously thinking about it.. I recommend Hatha yoga..
I always felt like a jackass to sit in a yoga class. the dumb "too cool for school" mentality. Time to be a big boy. I'm signing up at my gym
Anonlmao... most professional athletes participate in both yoga and meditation .. it by far extends their abilities to play their sports
