So I'm at the l gym right now and my workout partner couldn't make it today so I'm on my last set at the flat bench and I ask this guy for a spot and he looks at me like I'm a fucking idiot. He then preceeds to tell me I should of brought a spotter If planned to lift that heavy today. Seriously bro? Just cause your fucking scared to stand behind all that weight doesn't mean you have to be a dick. Let me clarify though that it was only 275 and he just got done watching me put up 245 for 10, like Im really gonna struggle? Fucking douchebags these days to good to stand there and make sure nothing bad happens, whatever happen to having your bros backs?

TxBigBoyHaha yea I decided to be the bigger man and let it go. People like that aren't worth my time. Give me about 2 more months and I'll be back on cycle. My plan is to wait till the gear is at it's peak and then ask him for a spot again. I'll probably have a much different outlook on the situation then
AnonWhat a dick.. its common courtesy. Like holding the door open for someone. It takes no time and often times you can learn a thing or two. Sometimes that even leads to getting new gym bros.
I always say yes if someone asks. Its 30 or so seconds of my time and it wont throw off the intensity of my workout

thats crazy, i was benching a couple weeks ago and didnt have a spotter, i was at my mma gym and was hitting 225 for sets. well i was cool with that but some of the guys had gotten there as i went in early so i could hit some weight before training and as soon as they got there and seen me hitting weight, without being asked, came over and started spotting me just out of courtesy. thats the brotherhood you need there. well you know what punk ass stuck up bitch to avoid while you train. not that it matters but was he bigger than you? shit i had my 13 year old spotting me yesterday, its not like im gonna put the house on the bar its a security thing more than anything so he sounds like he was just a dick.
