Testosterone Intervals Reccomendation Changes
ad
I just had some labs done by Lab Corp to check my Testosterone levels.
The interesting thing about it was a note with a triple asterisk at the bottom of my results.
The intervals for a normal adult male on the paperwork suggest 249 - 836 ng/dL.
Noted at bottom of the results:
Effective Nov. 15th 2011 testosterone Serum levels reference interval will be changing to 348-1197.
I wonder how this came into play? Pretty interesting...
Do you know where your Test Levels are ?
Mine came in at 612 this time. After over a month in the euphoria has passed now but I am comfortable on 200 mg test cyp 1 x a week and roughly 250-300 Test Prop dosed 3 x over period of a week now.

Sounds like GOOD NEWS !! Bottom # up by 99 (still to low, IMO), upper # up 361 points, WOW. Could be the insurance company's trying to save money, now that they have upped their rates. Still good news all around.
Cheers
KMC'
I noticed that too'
The UPPER levels gained 350 plus + - nice...it makes me want to go higher.
I wish there was an easier way to do a T level test.
Business plan note;
create a take home Test level Test
If a person had the knowledge and the way to do it, (Think blood glucose type meter), You would not really need one to take home, but instant results in the doctors office,......BAMM,......so what if it's out =/- 10 or 20 points. With an instant result, things would happen much quicker.
tread-mMy guess is the "normal" range is changing as hrt /trt ramps up. Have to think too, there is likely more testing done for reasons such as ours when compared to people randomly asking for tests and certainly we know the doctors dont run these tests as protocol given there are far too many drugs available to mask your problems so why address the root cause of anything? Lol. Hope my post even addressed your implied question, I think it may have been more a statement leaning towards what I said nd if so, agreed! Lol. Or were you goling another direction? Long story short, my guess is "we" have the biggest influence on what might be deemed as an average when compared to the general mortals, I mean public.
Just food for thought and intel/information to share. I would agree more of US in the pool ( that would be an interesting stat)
Given all the low T places and new thoughts on this in the media and medical community finally seeing this as a real health issue.
I have discovered quite a few friends are using AAS as supplements now too - some more discreet and others not so much. Even a medical professional friend of mine. Seems accepted levels have changed and that is good news.
I read an article by Dr. Life recently ( although taken with a grain of salt ) he sees no reason we should not be in the 1000 range.
Interesting that not many chime in w/ their levels. I am curious what I would feel like at 1000... I do not have that same feeling as when I began. I already miss it :)...
