+ 7 1360 Test after 8 weeks of Mr Raise Test E 250 at 125mg/wk

ad

Here is my latest labs. Labs took 1 day?.... I went in 3 days after last pin. I also had a Ferritin Serum Lab done which is at the bottom of page. My blood levels are still low from giving double red cells blood donation back in June.
1360ng/dl for 125mg/wk test seems high. I think the lab screwed up because I do not feel like I am at this level. Crap! I will call them and see if they have enough to run another test which I doubt is going to happen. Kind of at their mercy on this stuff I suppose. Let me know what you guys are thinking. Hope everyone is having a good summer so far.

Update 09/13/2019 I have added a new Blood Test Lab at MegaT's recommendation to go see a Doc and figure out my Anemia. Dr said to double down on my Iron Intake for next 6 weeks and go test again. So I'll be back around End of October and see what happens. So, I am now taking 130mg of Iron a day. We only require around 8.5mg a day. Had been taking 65mg iron a day for the last past several weeks since I posted my last labs. My Body is not absorbing Iron and not making proper size or shaped blood cells.

Your anemic go see the Doctor! Your losing ground. Although hemoglobin is up from last test this is due to exogenous T artificially increasing RBC. More RBC more total hemoglobin but each of those cells have very very low levels of hemoglobin. It's continuing to drop. Your body is trying to compensate for the low oxygen levels by increasing cell size so RDW is going up. This is also going to affect your immune system and lower WBC. Classic signs of iron deficiency low MCV,MCHC,MCH and elevated RDW. +1 for testing

I have an appointment to see the Dr and have a few lab test results to show him now. I will get this under control soon. Thank you for all your input and patience.

Thanks for testing again bro

Yes sir,
Thank you for all you do for us.

My guess is that the lab is correct but that yiur SHBG quite high and thus your test artificially elevated but your free test actually much lowet than you would expect from that number. are you practicing any intermittent fasting or on low carb?

razoredge's picture

This looks to be what is happening and why I have high test numbers,

from Dr Google " if your SHBG level is not normal, then the total testosterone may not be an accurate representation of the amount of testosterone that is available to your tissues".

This would seem to make sense since I only start feeling pretty good once I am up closer to 1500.
May also explain why my TRT Dr thought I was over dosing when my labs came back higher than expected for the amount he prescribed at the time.

I will order my next lab with SHGB on it to see where I am. Thank you for pointing this out.

No fasting, except 12 hours before going for labs. I am allowed to drink black coffee before testing. So have a cup on the drive over. I also stopped all vitamin supps 3 days before because they suggested to keep any Biotin out of the testing.

Not on a low carb diet. I eat clean from the four food groups. Plenty of chicken and rice, veggies, pea nuts, fruits, fish, shrimp, sushi. No bread, sugar, or dairy. For the past 2 months I also haven't been taking any protein shakes. My weight did drop from 203lbs to 200lbs. My workouts have been lighter since donating double red cells in June kicked my butt. I am slowly recovering from that, but still anemic. All those numbers relating to the anemia are in the lower than normal range on my labs.

All the things you are saying, incl the high shbg, could also be from a low cortisol issue. get total and free cortisol tested

razoredge's picture

Yes sir, thank you. I will call them and see if they can add this using remaining blood sample from the other day.

Which one should I get based on these choices. did not see one that mentioned free and total. thanks
Cortisol, AM
Cortisol, Serum
or Cortisol, Urinary

Thats a big number for that dose. And your E2 is well in line. Any AI? +1 for testing/sharing

Yes sir, I was taking .5 or 1/2mg of Adex a week just in case to be sure my estro was in check. I seem to feel better with it up around 30 than when I have tested with it in the lower range. I even had it over 40 on my first labs, and felt great with no issues. But for peace of mind I try to keep it in range 30-35.

I'm right there w/ya man. I generally like mine on the high end as well. Shit I've had it at 100 before w/zero sides.

That’s high for the dose. I’d expect under 800 for me.

razoredge's picture

Yes sir, I am wondering if it might actually be normal for me. I have my other labs posted which it seems someone has commented on each that my test number seems high for the dose I'm using.

Livelife76's picture

What range do you normally fall at that dose? 1300+ @125mg weekly is what some trt guys are accustomed to. Sounds like your test come back lower at that dose... how much higher then your normal range are you? +2 for blood work

My first labs were over 1500 with me using 150mg/wk. Seemed high then. The lab I ordered did not provide actual number past 1500. I remember feeling pretty good at that dose. When I started TRT, I had a Dr that started me at 100mg EOW and ultimately upped to 150mg EOW before I couldn't stand it anymore. Made me feel worse than before I started which is pretty awful. My initial test was around 440. I was up around 750 at that 150mg EOW. So, while this seems a bit high, it may only be marginally high for me. Mr Raise is probably right, my body uses test pretty well compared to others. Thank you for taking time to follow up with me. Much appreciated sir.
