How to keep them gains? :-) aka my Var experience

ad

Hi everyone!
So, I did 1 cycle in spring. It went great, some mild sides were there but nothing major.
Well, usual, no period, water retention, bloating and constipation and a bit of increased sensitivity...you know where (which I have no complaints about lol) So, I can deal with everything on the list but the only thing I couldn't stand was constipation. After reading lots and lots of posts, I assumed that I either didn't drink enough water (coz you are supposed to increase water consumption while on cycle) or I simply didn't eat enough.

Anyway, my first cycle ever lasted for 8 weeks. I noticed incredible strength gains and some muscle gain as well. Loved it!!!

Now, a couple of months passed and guess what?! my strength went down. I can't deadlift or squat as much as I did while on cycle.... which is upsetting. :-( And the muscle size went down a bit too :-(

I am going for a second cycle in November of 2016. This time I want to make sure that I eat enough and drink plenty of water.

Now my concern is - How do I keep the gains? Not only the muscle size but the strength as well?

your strength is going to cycle natuarally .. when lifting heavy I don't stay heavy .. I cycle up and down during the training because the body just doesn't stay in strong heavy mode ALL the time...
as for size, you didn't eat to maintain the new muscle mass you gained ... I ve never lost size after a cycle unless I ve been out of the gym for MONTHs ... you simply didn't eat

Yeah, I figured. :-(
I mean there is still some size left but not as much as it was right after the cycle.
Also, have you heard about Dexa scan? I'm doing mine soon, so I was wondering about your opinion on it.

I dont really have any reason to get one .... I m not heading for stage anytime soon and even if I was I ve been manipulating my own body composition for so many years I dont need a scan to guide me ...while I do weigh myself I take that with a grain of salt and that is more for identifying weight class for powerlifting ... I use my clothing and how I look
