Insurance is tightening the reins on my test

I've become pretty fed up with my health insurance company. I recently switched doctors and had him write me a new script for test cyp 200mg/ml. Now ive been on trt since i was 33, my scripts have always been a 10ml bottle, refillable every 30 days. I drop off the script and get a call back from the pharmacy stating theyre only giving me three 1ml. Vials. My initial reaction was like wtf? I explained how its virtually impossible to get a full ml out of a one ml vial. Surprisingly the pharmacist agreed with me and actually faxed my dr a request to write the script differently. Has anyone else run accross this? First time in eight yrs for me...,frustrating

I get 3 1/200ml vials a month for $42 at my pharmacy without using my new insurance.
My insurance only covers axiron and the co-pay is almost $200 so I just told my Dr to give me the test cyp because its more economical. A 10cc vial q 30 days? I'm surprised someone was letting you get away with that! Every 1 ml vial has a little over a ml in it to make sure you get at-least 1ml from it.
That goes for pretty much all IV/IM meds. I'm an RN and draw meds all night from those vials and haven't been shorted on any of them as long as the vial is intact.
NotNatural23My insurance will only pay for mine if I go in once a week to my doctor to get my shot which costs them more then if they just let me do it myself... So I just buy it myself.... Go to goodrx.com you can get 3 10mls of testcyp for less than 38$ dollars apiece it is more if you buy 1 at a time. The funny thing is a 1ml 200mg cost 20$ and 10mls are way cheaper. Anyways pm me if you want I can give you more info if you want.. IF I am not allowed to post about this let me know just trying to help someone out....
