Silymarin, any reason not to use from building or cutting perspective?

I was reading somewhere on a forum about someone disagreeing that silymarin (milk thistle extract) wasn't useful and the person stating his opinion then began to give a reason it was detrimental to body building. I've been taking the stuff for years (never taken a 17-alky steroid, but didn't think it would hurt considering other environmental toxins and I remember getting a high reading when I was in my early 20's due to lifestyle.
I had to close the page I was reading because of a visitor, and haven't been able to confirm or deny. Is there a non-financially known reason to not take it unless needed?
