Follistatin questions, reviews, any info please

ad

Ok so all the peptide company's I use just added follistatin. I've looked all over and can't find any real personal accounts or reviews. I've read the theory behind it and it looks like it hasent been tested without the use of gene therapy (like attaching it to a virus), and I can't find any information if the follistatin available is bound like this or not. So if you've got any info about sub q use, or if its attached to a virus or not, or have a personal account of use please let me know! I'm very interested and from what I've read can't figure out why everyone isn't all over this new wonder drug, gotta be a drawback I'm missing or something, safer to ask before trying it out haha! Thanks in advance for any info!

Not enough info bro, I've been looking for input on the past few days. Nothing to make me wanna spend a few $$$ into this Peptide, I rather give IGF-1 a try instead

Simply put it's bunk. Multiple lab studies and personal testimonials I've read even exceeding 10x recommended amount. It's bunk for humans.

Follistatin suppresses myosatin which is a muscle growth inhibitor, so it should help with muscle growth right? Well, there's one thing you need to know about suppressing myostatin. The problem with that is that it isn't the same in humans. Rats and mice have naturally very very high levels of myostatin present in their bodies. We humans have a fraction of what mice do. Therefore, a reduction in myostatin in mice would lead to extremely significant muscle mass increases, while changes resulting in us would not be anywhere near as dramatic. It's very different for us. Furthermore, when myostatin levels were reduced in humans in clinical studies, it has been demonstrated that tendons became dangerously weak and brittle in the test subjects, leading researchers to believe that myostatin plays an important role in the strengthening and maintenance of tendons and connective tissue. Not a good thing! Especially if you're looking to increase strength and whatnot in the gym. I wouldn't want bigger stronger muscles at the expense of weakened connective tissue. So just be careful with your follistatin use, and listen to your body carefully if you feel anything negative when it comes to tendons, joints, connective tissue, etc. (post curtesy of Dan_C)

There is a big difference in lacking myostatin, ie. muscular bulls or dogs (pics are everywhere) and merely suppressing it. Those type of animals lacking any have been able to grow for years. It didn't happen in a few weeks.

Ya I don't think it's a good stand alone or something to take when you first start a cycle but I've seen studies that show myostatin raise significantly around week 8 of a cycle which is why most peoples gains stall st take point so it might be something to think about at that point during a cycle so your levels return back to baseline.

Hmm interesting.. That's a good point! I can see that your body wouldn't like all that muscle growth so it bumps up the myostatin to get to homeostasis. So yeah, Might be a new item to add in a cycle or at least give it a shot if one notices a stall in their cycles

I've looked at the forums for info about this before posting and it was all at least 6 months old. I was looking for more current info since this is so new, forgive me for starting a post about something that's already up!
