High blood pressure on 500 mg Testosterone E a week
Hello Eroids,
New to the game and wanted to get some feedback from some vets. First some stats, Age 36 6 feet 230 pounds and guesstimating body fat in the high teens. Been training for 5 years, consuming 4000 cals a day with a 60 20 20 break down. I'm currently on my 5th week of testosterone ethanate which is split up into 2 pins Mondays and Thursdays. I am feeling great strenght gains and have put on some size, so I know the gear is g2g.
This is my first cycle and is a test e cycle only. I drink a gallon of water a day and take a stack of liver support vitamins including saw palmetto extract. I have PCT on hand which includes Nolva and clomid. I have also have anastrozole in liquid form if needed.
Now for my concern, I was at CVS today and decided to get my BP checked on their wazoo machine. I was shocked when I saw the first reading, which was 162/92. I decided to give it two more tries and got 158/89 and the last one read 151/90. I noticed the decrease in the second and third reading, so I chalked it up to be nervous at first. I am going to admit that I am a smoker and I know that I'm going to catch some heat from my peers on here and it is well deserved. Other then smoking, I don't drink or do any other harmful substances.
My questions should be 1. Is it normal to get a spike in BP on a testosterone cycle only? 2. Should I start taking Anastrozole eod at .5 mg to combat the BP possibly caused by high estrogen or bloat? Should I start doing cardio to release some water in my system or do I discontinue use of testosterone?
I am open to any knowledge from some vets and other users , I am also open to any critique that may help me out.

Get bloods also if you aren't sure if your adex is legit you never really know with research chems to be honest.. Other than the obvious of getting estro down, lowering sodium and other garbage, adding cardio will certainly help.. I also found hawthorn berry to be extremely effective with blood pressure especially on tren
RustyhookerChampion....you're digging on a forum from 2012 dude.
Champion?
You certain that's Champ? Picture looks like him, I guess.
Actually my BP went way up when I started taking Anastrozole. I got a severe headache. BP was 160/100 and pulse was a steady 140. Not sure if the Anastrozole 0.5 caused it. Taking 400mg Test E and 200mg Deca, Hasn't happened since.
An update, started taken the antroszole for a couple days now and added duirex (water pill) , bought a blood pressure machine and took a two readings today . 141/81 and 146/83 , I guess thats an improvment,I will keep an eye on it for the rest of the week. Curious to see what bp will be tommorow.
everyone below pretty much nailed it, but just for future reference as well...look into these supps for added BP/circulatory support and start taking them EVERYDAY about 6 weeks before your next cycle throughout the whole cycle and into PCT and past PCT:
Grape Seed extract 300mg
CoQ10 100-200mg
Phytosterols 800mg
Omega Complex(DHA,EPA,ALA,GLA,etc.) 2-4g
If none of this works, get yourself a diuretic.
I was at 150/80+ at 1g of T so I went to see the doc and he gave me a very low dose water pill. It dropped me to 110/60 which is where I'm normally at if I'm eating well, sleeping and behaving. It's around 120+/60 now, but does spike a little post injection. I recently discovered my E was too high, so I'll be increasing my Adex a bit too.
AnonNot sure if it already said but fish oil works wonders for everything, blood pressure, cholesterol (spelling?), joints etc... I take 3000mg daily, I think it helps with fat loss also, cant find research to back that up though

yessir...I have been taking 4g/day of an omega complex for over two months now. before this cycle I was already taking 2g/day though. healthy fats are the shiznit, my brother!!
Thanks gents, should i take my liquid anastrozole everyday at .25 instead of . 50 eod from now on. .? I bought a bp monitor and will start keeping track starting tomorrow morning. I also will give myself a week with the anastrozole , if BP doesn't change for the better, I'm going to have to cut my cycle short.
I like ed dosing over eod simply because blood levels are sustained better. Stay positive, monitor it, and don't think about cutting the cycle short yet. That's just a downer and can lead to more stress for you. If you don't start to see improvements then you'll have to stop. But for now, try to get it under control the best you can. Good luck brother.
Thanks for the positive insight, il keep plugging away and see what anastrozole will due . .25 Ed for now, and I will adjust accordingly based on the outcome.
It could be bloat, water retention puts pressure on the veins and vessels and raises your BP. I have found recently taking a water pill will drop my BP a good 10-20 points.
Yep. Diurex has worked for me. I haven't ran enanthate in a long time, but when I did I always used aromasin as my AI. Seemed to help with the bloat better than adex.
EXACTLY!!!!
Yeah, I was typing while you were already answering him. I gotta learn to type faster! LOL ;-P
Well without getting to technical, there are a few ways blood pressure is affected. Without even having to go into detail with you, I can make an assumption that you may have fluid volume issues(retention) and vascular issues(smoking). Yes use of AAS does cause retention. Understand that the fluid cells can't use will reside outside of the cell, which will eventually cause a back up in the vascular system. This in itself will cause high blood pressure. This is the reason hypertensive patients are given diuretics (water pills). Secondly smoking is more damaging to your arteries and veins than your lungs. Smoking causes your vessels to harden and lose elasticity. Our blood pressure also depends on our vessels ability to contract and dialate to accomadate rise and fall in pressure/volume.
My measly 2 cents is this...work on the fluid by increasing your AI dosage. Also the obvious which is weaning yourself off the smokes. Its not the amount of water and etc you put in your body, its your ability to get rid of it thats jacked up. Good Luck!
That's pretty high. Your BF% and lack of AI's are a contributing factor but stop smoking yesterday and watch your sodium intake.
5th week you should be taking adex .25e3d. Drop the salt super low. Go back to that store and buy a home monitor or test daily. High bp is not good. How was bp prior? I have great bp off cycle and YES just a Nice salty meal pops it up. Also, was your adex from reputable reseller?
Thanks for the response, the Adex is from a research chemicals company that is very reputable. It came in a vial with a glass dropper. Before my cycle I was with in normal range because I was heavy into cardio 5 days a week.
Well....like we both posted at same time.....no salt. Monitor daily. If it stays high then stop cycle til your natty health is good and body lean. Bp is sent killer bro. Lean foods, low fat, no garbage foods. Long life ahead of ya...dont run it
Stop smoking, drink a gallon and a half, cut out sodium, start taking adex at .25 e3d, and yes start doing cardio. It is better to have you body fat closer to 10% before starting a cycle. less fat = less sides
