This is a constant debate on here with pinning techniques. 20 years ago using a insulin needle to inject oil i.m. was not heard of because Franky speaking it doesn't make sense to use a needle designed for subcutaneous water solution medicine to be used for i.m. oil solution injection. When prescribed testosterone from the doctor, the prescribe 22g syringe 1.5. I have a belief that deeper in the muscle the more receptor sites. The only issue in potential for scar tissue build up from thicker gauge needle but with frequent rotation and if you do some massage work and graston technique you can avoid this issue. I always used 23g 1.5 delts, glutes , and lats. I avoid quad shots and arm shots
Bench405Yea I agree....always debates over this method or that needle size. Deeper 1.5 inch inj could be better for better absorption and less pip. Lol everyone has some idea about pip and can point out certain factors that contribute but NOBODY really knows its root causes, Not even folks in medical community so that pretty much says it ALL.

Ppl just don't realize a lot of PIP (POST INJECTION PAIN) is because of the fucking injection!!! Not solvents/oil...the more pressure it takes to push the oil in the body the more pain you'll have...deeper and smoother inj leads to minimizing PIP

Bench405Nobody's disagreeing....just cant generalize pip for everybody. Pretty simple. But it is what it is
I swapped from 5'8 to 1" a few weeks ago now and its so much better. Absolutely zero lumps now, much less PIP pain when it occurs and no leakage. I was finding I often had oil coming out after an injection for a few seconds as it was too close to the skin and the hole/oil pocket was too shallow. I'm not big enough to require 1.5"
