+ 8 Female Doing a 300lb and 546lb Calf Press

ad

Me doing calf presses yesterday. I was able to do 300lbs on the leg press, and 546lbs on the seated nautilus calf press machine. I don't know if you can see the numbers in the last 2 pictures, but I was only 3 blocks away from maxing out on it, and that weight was actually 546lbs.

It was kind of hard for me to keep my legs straight on the leg press, but the reason I was slightly bending my knees was so that I could work my calves at a better angle. The 300lbs was actually kind of easy for me cause my calves are so naturally strong. Next time I'm going to try 400 or even 500 and then return back with a photo.

Unfortunately, my shoulders are nowhere near as strong as my calves, so these are the only ways I can do calf press. I have tried doing calf press in other ways such as holding a barbell, or using a squat rack, but my shoulders could not support anywhere near close to the weight that my calves could lift.

Don't pay any attention to the source that I referenced on this page, I'm actually currently all natural. Aside from that short few weeks of test e experimentation I did early on, I haven't done anything since. I have been making plenty of good gains without it, and I decided I really don't need gear to get the body that I want. The only supplement I use is whey protein.

Any recommendations for other workouts that will help me to max out on calves without forcing me to support the weight on my upper body?
