+ 3 Bloodwork: TRT+ with Primo, Anavar

ad

Currently wrapping up a long Anavar run and wanted to share where I’m at, along with some recent bloodwork and cycle details. I’ve been running a TRT+ protocol over the past year, using Primo to help manage estrogen, and recently switched HGH brands after some questionable results (see my Titan vs Dragon Janoshik post for more on that).

Current Cycle:
• Pharmaqo Test E – 300mg/mL, dosed at 250mg/week
• Pharmaqo Primo Depot – 175mg/mL, dosed at 250mg/week
• Ultima Anavar – 50mg/day (running for 15 weeks, just finishing up now)
• HGH – Previously on Kits4Less Titan at 8 IU/day, now switched to Dragon at the same dose

Yes, I know 15 weeks is longer than the typical recommendation for orals. I kept an eye on labs, liver values stayed solid, and I felt good the entire time, so I ran it a little longer.

Lab Summary (collected 07/23/25):
• Testosterone: >1500 ng/dL (Dr Says caps at 1500, so I’ll rerun through Private MD to get the exact number)
• Estrogen: Accidentally ordered Total Estrogens, which is a combined value of E1, E2, and E3, not a direct measure of estradiol alone. Will correct and retest

• Liver enzymes: AST 19, ALT 23

• Total Cholesterol: 102
• Triglycerides: 72
• LDL: 69
• HDL: 18 (wrecked, thanks Anavar)

For context, one year ago:
• Total cholesterol: 249
• LDL: 204
• Triglycerides: 115

That’s the kind of drop most people only see on statins. I achieved it through supplements, diet, and cardio. HDL took a hit from the Anavar, but everything else improved significantly.

If anyone’s interested, my cholesterol stack includes Red Yeast Rice, Fish Oil, Citrus Bergamot, CoQ10, and CholestOff.

Other Notes:
• RBC: 6.05 (High)
• Hematocrit: 52.3% (High)

These have been slowly trending upward. I take iron to address low ferritin, so I monitor this closely and donate blood as needed.

Closing Thoughts:
Overall, I’m happy with where things are. Lipids are way better than they were a year ago, liver values are clean, and the only real negative is the expected dip in HDL. I’ll follow up with updated estradiol and total testosterone values once I get new labs through Private MD.

Did you happen to get IGF-1? It would be interesting to see how it is on dragon vs the titan

Maybe consider switching to doing 25 mg var sublingually PWO only. You break one of your 50 mg tabs in half, crush it to powder then place it under your tongue until it fully dissolves in a minute or 2. Do so about 1 hour pre workout. You'll get the added strength and vascularity from the var without as big an effect on your lipids. I've been doing this 2-4 times per week for 6 months minimum. The only thing out of range at my last lipid panel is my HDL which was 39 mg/dl. So literally 1 point out of the reference range.

Also there are uncapped "sensitive" total t tests. It costs more. But it's always nicer to have actual numbers to work with. I use ulta lab tests to order my private blood work. Their BioTE Male Post Pellet combo test includes uncapped total t, free t, shbg, cbc and estradiol.

I’ve been using Private MD Labs for the last decade, but this current bloods I used another site called “Dr. Says” as it was about half the price. Go figure, it gives me T cut off range and I ordered the wrong estrogen test lol. That’s what I get. I’ll make sure to give the site you recommended a try.

Also appreciate the tips about the var. I’m going to have to try and give that a go, brother.

Did private md labs have a limit on the T range?

There's a thread in off topic with the most recent discount code for 15% off at ulta. There's always a discount code for them if you just look for a bit.

I am going to switch to Pharmaqo Primo 175mg too, same reason. I'm on a similar TRT+ regimen. Thanks for sharing brother

What is this CholestOff? Are u taking adax I think .5 once /twice a week will bring your E2 down maybe to 35/40

Not saying it’s right or wrong, but I’m a big fan of running Primo at a 1:1 ratio along my test. It has historically kept my estrogen values in range.

This estrogen test was “total” instead of estradiol. I’m disappointed I ordered the wrong test because I have been using Ultima Primo for the last year with great results but was forced to switch to Pharmaqo brand recently due to supply shortages across the sources.

I need to get the estradiol test to see if this new brand is controlling my estrogen as I’m accustomed to.

CholestOff is a cholesterol supplement you can buy over the counter which along with the other supplements I’ve been taking has saved my cholesterol.

Yes looks nice and clean. I’ll buy that thanks. It’s also good to know running primo/ test long-term is not bad on lipids

Right, so that was my initial reaction too — 73pg/mL?? That’s high! But that would only be high for an Estradiol test. The test I ordered (by accident) was Total Estrogens.

Total Estrogens includes the combined levels of estradiol (E2), estrone (E1), and estriol (E3). It doesn’t give a clear picture of what’s happening specifically with estradiol, so it’s not really useful for managing aromatization or estrogen control on cycle.

I’ll be re-running the proper Estradiol (Sensitive) test soon to get accurate, actionable numbers.
