Authentic and counterfeit Humatrope

ad

Ordered 5 kits of Humatrope from PM. Received 2 and 3 were seized. PM reshipped and sends another pack with 3 and then another 2 by accident. From the pictures I display above, the 2 extra kits shipped are counterfeit. I had 1 authentic from precious shipment and 2 of the counterfeits saved in my fridge for about 6 months. Counterfeit looks almost identical except fro sequence numbers 17 and 10 missing. Didn't think anything about it bc all precious kits were good. Sent PM pictures and he seems to think that they are legit but will get back to me after manager takes a look at pics and considering that the kits were received about 6 months ago, he's going to see if there is even anything he can do. So it seems like I'm taking a loss. I paid for those 2 extra kits although they were sent to me by accident. Now I'm starting to think that maybe not so much by accident but that's just speculation on my part.

  1. Authentic is a lighter yellow
  2. Stamp with sequence numbers and bar code is in reverse on the 2 counterfeit.
  3. Red dot that is seen once box is open is also missing on 2 counterfeits.
  4. Slight difference in the braille and placement.
  5. Code and expiration in white on counterfeits doesn't seem to be laid evenly.
  6. Sequence numbers missing on counterfeits.

I apologize to PM. I have received lots of Alpha Pharma from them 100% legit, and Humatrope which I mistook as counterfeit are all authentic. I swore that these were counterfeit. I could not find any information on changes at the time. I got burned 2k at one time with really bad fake humatrope, I felt stupid getting burned again. I’m glad of the outcome, these guys are solid and really one of the best with no question.

Did you scan them with the app?

vizman's picture

Yes, and they scanned authentic. Wasn't aware of any changes, just always hearing how most of the meds coming from turkey and even from pharmacies have been counterfeit.

As far as I am aware, any changes to packaging or medication would also mean a new NDC number? Also, the stamp in reverse has always been, to my knowledge, an indicator of counterfeit or not?

Not true

Lmao they are NOT counterfeit! After 2019 all medications in Turkey have 2 serial #s on the boxes. This is to PREVENT counterfeiting actually. As for the red dot the newer ones you have don't have the red circle, I just checked mine too. Later Lilly changed to a black box with the serial # scribed on all Lilly Medications. I confirmed this by look at my new Humalog box, Humatropes, and new batch of 5mg Cialis. These are real so you know.

Thank you for providing me with this new information. Would the stamp in reverse also be part of the changes?

I thought i saw somewhere else not too long ago that packages were changed, thanks for confirming.

Good to know. All these changes they keep doing to prevent counterfeiting makes it confusing.

Yes brother. It's good they do this though. They also changed design on Bayer Rimobolans too along with package insert.

I have a few of those bayer rimos lying around. Exp 02.2020 i think.

Definitely some differences there.
