Im close to your boat bro. Bust ass for one year then hit a show. Youve got good thickness going for you. But in a year of pure drive, you'll do excellent!! Practice your cutting now...bulk in fall...rip shred spring shows. No doubts you can do it!!
You look great for your age brother! Personally, I don't think 16 weeks is enough to dial it on a competitive level! Give it some more time as advocated by the vets below! That's an awesome goal and I greatly respect that! Keep pushing it hard to make your dreams a reality! +2 for posting a pic and I wish you all the best moving forward! Much respect!
Ok,
Doing a show takes atleast two years to plan out at your age. I like seeing the goal of doing a show. However your body type is going to take about a year of hard work to get that first place spot. If you want to be on point your really going to have to dig deep. I wish you the best and I like your goal!!!
Not going to sugar coat it or feed you bullshit and at 51 I'm sure you will appreciate the honesty
For a show you've got a shit load of work to do Sir and now that doesn't mean that your goal isn't within reach ....it means that you need to be in a condition that's makes it look like your meant to be on that stage.
A comp diet is never easy and that's when your about 12 weeks out so take a look at someone 12 weeks out then you will see my meaning and in the meantime I wish you the best of lucky
I'm 38 as of last week mate and my next comp is going to be in 12 weeks as they are bring a UK BFF to my home town ...my diet starts next Sunday and I've always done 12 week diets and ended up being ready to soon so this time I'm going to test the waters and start a week or two later ...I'm down to 100 kg from 105kg when my back pic was posted some time ago so I'm looking to drop around 8kg and yea I'm sure your thinking that's not enough time but it's only 1.4lbs per week and giving that a lot of weight will come off in the first few weeks then the remaining should be comfortable with the aim of maintaining muscle
I probably could get away with 16wks, those first four are just easing into and getting myself mentally prepared until I buckle down. I could never do it in 12 wks or less though, would be nice if I could though.
Why no? We believe in you, train hard get hard, and keep killing it! Best wishes and respect +1
