+ 17 2016 October show / to 2017 July show

ad

I wanted to post this cause i wanted to show what can be accomplished in 10 months. Left picture was the last time
I prepped myself, coming in at a flat, depleted 218lbs.... the right is with my coach that i plan on going with again for 2018, at 230lbs. I did one bulk between pictures and then started prep for the pic on the right. I’ll be started prep again here in 4-5 weeks. And i fucked up a lot, cheated too much on my diet, and still improved massively. This time, I’m gknna stuffer cause i regret cheating and not being 100%.
Never thought I’d hire a coach cause i thought i knew nutrition. And i do, but not as much as i thought lol

Hey brother I just realized, weren’t you a HW? That class is capped at 225. How were you 230?

Mrcoolbeans's picture

Hahah. I forced myself to make weight. Didn’t eat for about 16 hours, pissed and sweated off about 10lbs. I was 237lbs at 7pm the day before weigh ins lol that next morning i was 233lbs. I made weigh, then right after coach had me slam a little Powerade and had a couple good meals. And was floating 230-232

+1 what were your biggest adjustments precontest that allowed you to add nearly 15 lbs of stage weight in a year? Great job bro

Honestly not completely sure. I mean i did a pretty decent bulk, the. Hired a coach “if you wanna know pm me “ which basically we did a high carb / cycle approach vs what i used to do on my own which was basically right off the back, lower carbs to like 150-200 a day and start 20-30 mins of cardio which i think what always made my progress fast in the beginning then slow way down. Vs with my coach we actually started with around 300 carbs 20 weeks out, and was loosing weight with no cardio then adjusted slowly up to 450 carbs a day on high days and noticed that was my maintenance. Then slowly lowered and cycle and added cardio the right way etc. that’s why I’m so excited this year.

Great job!
How long time have you been training/using gear before this transformation?

I'm kinda stucked myself 8 years into training and wondering if I hit my genetic max or need to do something completely different.

Mrcoolbeans's picture

Just have to try somethjng new, eat more, and training Harder/smarter. I’ve been competing/ using gear since 2012. I’ve slowly added compounds and upped dose over the years. Maybe that’s one reason. Never just jumped on and said let’s take this and that and that at a crazy high dose right from the Get go like a lot of guys i know
