+ 11 1st labs in....

ad

About 11 weeks into this longer cycle. Wanted to see how it's going. Will be doing review for this part very soon, but that's
- 400 mg EQ / week
- 400 mg Test E / week
- 10 mg Accutane / daily
- 25 mg Aromasin / week.

Test level I'm happy with. Pins on M/TR and I did fast. Stopped the Aromasin about month ago, felt like my estro was crashed, wasn't wrong. Feel great now. The cholesterol levels aren't too bad off, and I expected it with the increase in red meat. I've already added in Omega fish oil caps to help. The rest not too bad really.
Just wanted to share.

Looking solid, brother. Good Test levels look right where you want them for that setup, and honestly, your overall panel looks pretty damn good considering 11 weeks in. Stopping the Aromasin was the right move too … those crashed-estro symptoms are no joke, and your numbers confirm it. Nice catch adjusting early instead of letting it snowball.

The cholesterol shift is expected, especially with the red meat increase + Accutane + mild aromatization. Adding fish oil is a great call, but I’d also keep an eye on HDL over the next few weeks … EQ can push it down even more with time. Citrus Bergamot or Niacin (flush version) could be solid add-ons if needed, but no need to overcomplicate unless it trends further south.

One thing I like here: your hematocrit looks under control for being on EQ + Test. That tells me you’re managing hydration well, and keep supplements on point …
Keep the up. Stop saying you’re old, man(new tho you.. are LOL Lol ) … you’re just experienced … wisdom gains over time!

Thank you for the follow up advice and kind words bro. Smile
Yeah I caught those issues early on, have a pretty good sense of my "normal feeling", so that helps.
I drink water like cracker fed camel most days for sure, and donate 2-3 a year.

Interesting read mate!!

How are you finding the Accutane at 10mg per day, is that effective? Interesting to see that your Liver values are perfect given you are running that too.

What do you think the reason for the slightly low eGFR is? I know it isn't Kidney disease level but it is quite low considering your liver is really good - so many guys seem to be hitting over 100 eGFR on here these days. Don't get me wrong, mine ain't perfect either!! LOL

Honestly, I'm not sure on that one. I'd don't think I was as hydrated as I needed to be that day. Going to compare some previous labs. I'll be doing another draw at the end of this regardless.

How about the Accutane mate?

Mac12769's picture

Oh yeah, wasn't ignoring the question, at work.
So 10 mg/day seems to work for me. I have hereditary prone acne, but that dosage is good balance without drying out my hands or face in areas too much.
Tricky being a bit liver toxic along with the rest. Another reason I like to run labs frequent and use supps. Lots of water and I stopped drinking sodas a LONG time ago.

Everything looks pretty good. I think you can easily get your cholesterol in range with the right stack of supps, given where you’re at now. Niacin (b3) the flush kind is one of the few supplements that will increase HDL, and it also decreases LDL. With where you’re at that may be all you need. 1000-1500mg a day split into 2-3 doses. Another good option is red yeast rice, specifically the Cholestene brand from HPF at 2400mg a day. Most of the RYR sold today is junk and doesn’t contain any lovastatin but cholestene does. And CoQ10 is always good to take with RYR. 100mg of that a day, And 20mg of policansol. In addition to the fish oil you’re taking. But you probably don’t need all that.

Appreciate the input and advice. I also added in cholesterol friendly cereal in the AM or PM, almost daily. Grosses the wife out. But I switched to using chocolate milk for it, much better.

Bloods look really good brother. How long have you been running accutane daily prior to bloods?

Mac12769's picture

Probably 2 months or so. That’s a pretty low dose compared to what’s used by dermatologists. But they order routine labs as well. Have to really hydrate even more with it though.

Good to hear accutane was working as intended. I have run 20mg Mon-fri for 4-6 weeks at a time. My ast and alt was double the values you had on your blood work. Thanks for posting!

I also supplement with Liv52 or TUDCA.

I run tudca ,NAC, milk thistle year round. I’ve never purchased the liv 52 but I’ve heard it mentioned a handful of times.

Using Liv52 atm. And that’s with a little Adrol sprinkle here and there.
