Michael David Watson appeared in Riverton’s Circuit Court on Friday afternoon following his arrest on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Watson’s bond was set at $15,000 cash after Judge Roberts concurred with prosecutor’s statements, alleging that he poses a danger to the community due to the sheer amount of steroids that he had in his possession.

Watson is formally being charged with two felony charges, one for possession of a felony amount of Schedule III Controlled Substance in Pill Form and another for possession of a felony amount of Schedule II Controlled Substance in Liquid Form, reports . If found guilty of both charges, Watson faces up to ten years in prison and/or a fine of up to $20,000.

Customs Agents discovered steroids during shipping

According to charging documents filed with the Circuit Court in Riverton, the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) International Mail Facility at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California intercepted a mail parcel declared as “beauty products” on December 23, 2017. A “more intrusive examination” was then performed and resulted in the discovery of bottles marked as Proviron, Dianabol, and 16 vials marked as Tren-Mix 200. All items are known to be Anabolic Steroids.

After a test of one of the pills detected the presence of Mesterolone, a generic term for the steroid Proviron, CBP proceeded to seize the contents of the package. Altogether, agents seized 400 tablets marked as 25 mg Proviron, 400 tablets marked as 20 mg Dianabol, and 16 10 ml vials marked as Tren-Mix 200 (Trenbolone, Schedule III Controlled Substance).

The package was addressed to David Watson, 1220 N. Smith Road, Riverton, Wyoming and was marked as sent from Zhirong, Korean Air Cargo Terminal, Rep. of Korea, China, 22381. CBP agents confirmed that Watson resided at the address and that he was currently on felony probation.

The Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Office in Casper requested that the contents be sent to their office in order to attempt a controlled delivery. HSI agents in Casper received the package on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

Controlled Delivery in Riverton

On January 4th, 2018, DCI, HSI, and DEA Agents, along with the USPS Inspector conducted a controlled delivery of the package to David Watson at his residence in Riverton. Watson accepted the package and signed the postal form provided to him by the undercover Postal Inspector. Watson was then served a search warrant at the residence and was interviewed by DCI agents.

Watson informed DCI agents that he knew law enforcement was at his residence because he “ordered steroids.” Watson stated that he provided William Cody Klaproth, of Douglas, Wyoming, with approximately $700 and Klaproth “ordered the steroids.” Watson explained that Klaproth requested that the package would be sent to Watson’s residence and that on arrival the two would split the steroids, with Watson getting approximately half, and Klaproth getting approximately half.

According to Watson, Klaproth informed him that due to the package not arriving as scheduled, Klaproth contacted the supplier and another package with the same contents was shipped to Watson’s address to replace the original package, which was thought to be lost.

Surprising response for not that much gear. I would assume probation played a factor.

"CBP agents confirmed that Watson resided at the address and that he was currently on felony probation." He was on felony probation so they pursued him. Do you think they would have if he wasn't on probation. This makes me wonder. If they can figure out a way to tax steroids maybe we can start rolling it out like pot. Fuck the feds.

yea fuck for real, should make shit legal and tax it...studies show most people use just to look and feel better rather than professional athletes.

helloBrooklyn's picture

That’s why domestic sources have such a huge overhead, because they’re taking on most of the risk.

Yeah, I know full well prop only costs about $3 a vial to make, and they sell it for 10x the price. Can anyone blame them? I’d do the same in their shoes.

Scarecrow's picture

Help me out here. How does being a domestic source equate “huge overhead”?

I think he was meaning that because the domestic source is taking all the risk so there is justifiable reason for them to mark up that 3$ vial of prop 10 times over.....

Well of course. The more hands anything touches, the more the price increases. When I think of overhead I think of “lab space” or a car for deliveries. Things of that nature. I don’t think of risk as over head. Risk is just risk, but it does justify a price increase. I know people who buy things locally. Every vial is $80. No matter what product.

Amen brother gotta love domestic

daksmack's picture

Couldn't agree more. You can't put a price in a peace of mind. Let's face it, we all stress ordering from over the borders. I think domestic sources have it rough, there's always someone bashing them, they take all the risk and usually get little reward. Do they make a good chunk of money, maybe, but can you imagine the stress domestic sources go through. I doubt they sleep well. I have a lot of respect for domestic sources, us users should be more respectful.

Depends on his past convictions... i know in my state that violating probation with new felony charges always sends guys up the road... id say 18 to 36 months maybe

Federal charges/court are different than your local/county/state courts. The feds seem to fuck you harder!!

helloBrooklyn's picture

There’s no chance for parole in federal prison, if I’m not mistaken.

professer X's picture

And a fed sentance is mandatory day for day.....so if you get sentanced 10 years...your ass is doing everydamn day of that...zero gain time

mobman702's picture

Fed time allows the prisoners to earn GOOD TIME CREDITS to reduce their sentences on a day to day basis.. They can earn up to 54 days OFF their sentences per year if they squeak really really clean..

Legion14's picture

Im sure there is a process, but federal judges are appointed for life by the president and they have judicial infallibility

And if someone rapes a girl he gets max. 2 years.
That's what I call justice!

Being on felony probation he will end up doing small time 1-5yrs
