I just wanted to check in with everyone & see what’s new? It’s been quiet in here, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if everyone is good to go!
I’ve been working hard with addicts in my area lately & meth is back with a vengeance & I’m hearing that they’re now mixing ice & herion!! Wow, what a deadly mix!! Police in the local area have had several big busts around here & even the ones funneling it in from upstate. So pills & herion have been harder to get, but making meth seems to be easier for them right now. It’s sad how many are affected & it’s not just poor people or certain ethnicities, it’s rich people & people of every color & creed. My sister just kicked her husband of 10 years out because he’s been taking the shot for opiates & alcohol & supposed to have been clean. She found a metal plate & a cut pen in his laptop bag this weekend. She found out he has been snorting meth because the shot doesn’t work against it. It’s so sad.... a wife & 2 kids, but he’s loving the high more than anything else right now & putting everyone else through a living hell!
