All I know is for the past 10 years since I got clean it isn’t always greener on this side of the fence but, what I will say is that my worst day clean is a million times better than my best loaded.

But again I was literally rock bottom scum of the earth from the age of 12-29 slamming meth and heroin. Dead to the world. No morals. Should be the crazy person on the side of road homeless that’s never coming back. I feel if we could do it anyone can. Me and my wife used together and got clean together. Got my son back, got her son and daughter back and had 1 of our own. We own an HVAC company and just bought our house about 18 months ago. 1 day at a time sometimes sounds cliche but it’s so true. Hell sometimes it’s 1 foot in front of the other.

Stay Strong buddy, there is no reason at all to go back to that Old crappy way of life. Its in the past now and its time to move on to better, happier and more positive things. Not long now till you hit the year mark - make sure you hit that milestone no matter what!! Once you build up some good sobriety in you then you are much less likely to throw it all away as it becomes harder to get it all back again. I think its fairly easy when you have weeks or months in you to just think maybe just this one occasion and then tomorrow I will get it all back again, but when you are talking years at a time do you really want to wake up the next morning realising all that you have just thrown away?? All in the name of a hangover and feeling like death for a few days. There is no doubt that working and talking through the steps changes you as a human being, you stop taking yourself so damn seriously and realise the world doesn't revolve around you. Realise too that you will still face tough times and struggles in life as does everyone else, they don't stop but reaching for a drink to numb out the inconvenience does lol Smile

Atta boy! The steps made me a better husband, father, and man. Get through those steps, work 10-12 daily, talk to God, and help another man. That’ll keep you sober.

Thank you Fellas .

Congratulations~! Glad you are here. I have stayed clean through some adversity because I worked all 12 Steps with my Sponsor. I make better decisions and get to make better choices because of this 12-step program. Great job on Step 10. thanks

The world would be a much better place if everyone worked the 12 steps. I know it’s cliche but it’s true.
