Hey guys. Hope all is well. And everybody staying strong. Been dealing with some depression and haven't been on in a while. Still sober and fighting the fight. How's everybody doing?

Had a slip myself. I’m not angry with myself, a bit disappointed though. Too much going on in my life at the moment.

I hear ya brother. My job contract just got bought out, one of kids just moved out all of a sudden, my other kid with the ex just joined military, and inflation is killing me. I think about that bottle, but I know where it leads….I never want to be there again. It’s day to day, everyday. I refocus and this place helps my mind stay centered.

Currently in rehab. Still hitting the gym. Losing wife and consequently underperforming at work made me go back to opioids. 38 days clean and happy to be living for myself again. Paying ridiculous money for a place in Texas, but it definitely saved my life. Stay strong brother.

Hang in there my brother . Going on 5 years clean and it does get easier . Life is much better on this side . Life is always going to be Life which isn't easy . Being on this side though sure is much more progressing.

I am gonna be 10 years next month

press1's picture

Hi buddy, very sorry to hear about this. Are you still going to the gym and training atm? Is there a reason behind this or do you just feel low in general?

Brozowski265's picture

Been out the gym 4 months. Was unemployed for a while. Imma welder/fitter and all of it was work related. Got into it with asshole boss. Getting shit from the lady and etc etc. Sober 5 years but darn it has been hard

Gotta get yourself back into the Gym routine again mate, I know it sounds cliche but it will work - You have to get yourself mentally feeling good again first for everything else to go well and run together. Even if its not the gym because you cannot afford membership right now being out of work, do something fitness related, bodyweight exercises - ANYTHING.

Bosses will always be cunts, women will always moan about something - thats's life mate. Unless she is getting you so down its no longer working for you and making you more unhappy than it is happy. You know how we are man, gotta think for yourself on what you want here and whats best for you without having to carry others peoples problems too.

Just know bud that IF you drink you are going to make everything 10 times as Shit as what it is right now, but you don't need me telling you that Yes 3

Brozowski265's picture

Yea drinking is the last thing that will help. I just opened up another membership. Been 3 days with( doms)
Got some heat patches in my arms right now.. alpt has to do with the fat I've gained. Stress eating shit and been layed up. Another is mental and I can't loft half of what I was. So that was a chore in itself seeing everybody in the gym at the size I was or more in shape. I know that's gonna be a motivation. Start new job Monday. So little weight has been lifted in that sense
