I would like to welcome all the new members that I’ve joined recently, feel free to share any inspiring stories or struggles. We welcome the struggles just as much as the success stories. Recently within the past few months, I was going through a lot of tough challenges, a lot of dark towns, and felt so alone, and I end up relapsing, Believe it or not, this group helped me so much when I got on and started reading other peoples post, and realizing I wasn’t alone in this, especially with other people that shared interest in working out and making gains lol We can start a buddy system. If you guys think that would be beneficial, we can all find somebody or a few people to keep in touch with on a regular basis, weekly basis or whatever and check up with each other’s progress like I said I’m open to any ideas and suggestions please send them my way

Great post~! I do 6 things regularly for my Recovery. I attend 12-step meetings. I talk with my sponsor sharing with honesty, open-mind, and willingness to listen and change. I answer the phone when sponsees call. I live the Steps. I pray and meditate. I keep my service commitments. Read our 12-step literature, like daily meditation. If I don't read by myself I listen to the readings in the meeting.
I make time for these things.
I had a great weekend but got too ambitious with weights on the bar. Monday I had a sciatica attack like I had not had in years. I remembered attacks always followed overdoing squats and deadlifts. I just stayed calm and did my yoga with more prayer and meditation. The attack finally calmed down enough I could sleep 23:00 Tuesday without any pain medication. I got an adjustment at the chiropractor when I could get in a car. I am just saying whatever we go through, we can choose to stay clean and sober. Thanks for reading this.

I’m always available for someone to talk to. I have a few very solid men in my corner who I consider brothers. I met most of my support system through AA and working in substance abuse treatment programs. But if anyone here needs a brother who knows the struggles and has overcome many obstacles in recovery, my inbox is always open.
