Adoption Story:

March 9, 2013, first year out of college, I was on my way home after picking up 420. I randomly stopped at a random gas station along the highway on the total opposite side of town to (1) put $20 on gas (2) buy a blunt wrap. I must’ve been at that gas station 20 minutes.
As I’m getting gas, I noticed this little white puppy sticking her head out of the bushes (at the gas station). Didn’t think anything of it. After I got gas, I got into my car to roll my blunt, right? As I’m rolling my 420, this puppy is staring me down the whole time. Mind you: This is during the middle of the day. In the middle of a business city. At a major intersection along the highway.
So after I finished rolling my blunt, I looked at the pup & tried waving her into my car. WITHOUT HESITATION, she ran & flew into my car. Happy as shit!! Her condition wasn’t the best. Don’t know how long she was lost, but her hair was all matted up. At first, I thought she was a mixed poodle of some sort. But turns out she was just a homeless half mini-schnauzer, half yorkie. Tried finding her owners. No luck. So I guess you can say….
…. that SHE adopted (my family and) me ever since.

**1st photo is from the day I found her. [Stoned photography via my SPRINT BlackBerry phone]

So when you got her bud was she proper hungry and thirsty at first?

I honestly don’t recall even thinking about food & water. I wasn’t a dog person at the time. I took the dog back to my house, which was 10 mins away. I remember we stayed in my car though. I checked on Craigslist for LOST PETS on my BlackBerry. I didn’t see an lost ad for her.
So I called my mom, who had a chihuahua-mix at the time. Penny stayed with them for awhile, because I was a post-grad trying to do post-grad things. [My mom is the one who actually named Penny.] After the chihuahua passed away, Penny has been my responsibility. She’s probably 12 years old now, give or take.

She's a Cute little girl mate - its disgraceful how some humans treat animals. Imagine what that poor little dog went through in the meantime trying to survive by herself.

Dude you don’t understand the amount of traffic in that area.
If you have GOOGLE MAPS:
SpeedWay Express
1598 Alum Rock Ave
San Jose, CA
StreetView that shit!

Wow yes I see what you mean!!

So was that the actual petrol station where you picked her up then?!

Yessir…. Do you see the little bushes on the right side, next to the far-right pump? 10 years ago, those bushes were a lot thicker.
The scene was literally out of a Disney movie. Or a kid’s book. It would’ve been called “Serendi-Penny”
