Ive had these two dogs since they where tiny. Well charger is still tiny I've had her 15 years and she still has tons of energy and Apollo is 14 years old..crazy how fast the times go by now. Both where private rescues from people who didn't deserve them. Apollo is a traditional red aka red nose, charger is jack Russell/Chihuahua

Its always really nice to see rescue dogs getting another chance at life - I just cannot stand arseholes who abuse animals. You can tell a lot about a human in the way they treat an animal. That Chihuahua is adorable, I guess she is slightly bigger than a normal one which you can see in the picture around her neck and ears.
I don't think I'll ever buy a dog. Ill keep adopting from the high kill shelters so long as it's feasible. I feel like to some extent those animals know you gave them another chance. And there's so many dogs in shelters in need of homes. Doesn't hurt that I'm a pit/staffy lover and there's always tons of them in shelters.
Good on you man! I've only gotten rescue dogs myself and they're always the sweetest things once they get comfortable. I'm also a pit owner and they're just such good dogs.
I'm on my second rescue dog currently and I also had 2 rescue cats at one point before they both passed about a year ago. I'm typically a pretty stoic guy. But man do all the videos of shelter dogs with their horrible stories break my heart. I just can't understand dumping your pet at the shelter because taking care of them isn't convenient for you any longer.
I have 2 rescue bullies right now. One was just a puppy when I got him, 3-4 months, he had his ears cropped and it looked like someone did it with a pair of kitchen scissors. I was seized from a backyard breeder that had a lot of sick and dead dogs around his property. The other was 2-3 years old when I got him. He has burn marks on his back and side. He was found abandoned on the balcony of an empty apartment locked in a crate. The things I'd do if I found either of their previous owners
