Elbows and Shoulders

I am a little older than most on here most likely. My shoulder problem I already know is arthritis. Asking for a little feedback on any ideas or home remedies beyond balms and stretching. The elbows are a different issue all together. The tendons on the outside of my elbows affect grip and pull. Anything that requires the hand to flex shoots pain right into my elbow. I know this is a relatively common problem so I thought maybe someone out there might have some comments or ideas on how to relieve some of the pain. I muddle through but it's hard to get motivated to back when every time I pull it hurts like hell. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

I know it's been a while. I recently experienced quick onset of what I diagnosed as tennis elbow -- shooting pain on the outer portion of my arm, particularly in pulling movements requiring a firm grip and especially giving handshakes, ouch! In addition to regular stretching, I did some light weight exercises like wrist curls and reverse wrist curls. And I wore wraps so as to not overly inflame it when lifting. It took about 4-6 weeks, but I'm almost completely pain free now. I didn't take ibuprofen, but I think that would have aided and/or hastened recovery. Good luck.
