Ibogaine
This shit is no joke either. It's the plant that grows in the bush of the ivory coast. Has pepper like fruit and is completely psychoactive when ingested. A heroin addict discovered it by mistake. He was looking for a quick buzz and he was directed toward iboga. He soon realized he was being guided by and communicating with a higher level of consciousness or beings of a higher level of consciousness. Possibly a different dimension. Who knows. This plant in particular slows the trip down and allows you to get introspective. Look long and hard at yourself with the ego dissolved. Your ego protects you from shit all day and you don't know it. When it is ripped away and you're faced with the man in the mirror. It can be quite horrific depending on what kind of guy you are. But anyway, so this junkie takes the iboga and about 12 hours in he realizes "holy shit, I haven't touched a bag of diesel and I'm not the least bit sick. Also, he described the trip as kind of being a browser search engine in the sky. He could ask questions like "what is life" and the answer would pop right up like you googled it. Crazy shit !! But the really amazing thing is there is a success rate upwards of 90% with this stuff and dope addicts. Amazing! It completely resets your receptors and tricks your brain into thinking you never touched the stuff before. No withdraw at all.

Holy shit thats a cure for anything
I suppose this is near impossible to get ...
All the stuff that doesn't require an RX label on it usually is unfortunately. It comes down to economics... You can't turn a profit on things that don't have a proprietary mechanism involved somehow. Lobbying is a powerful tool...
This is the big problem with it and also lsd and why you can turn a profit. This drug cures addiction (well closet thing we have to a cure) in one dose. So that means each addict who wants off is only going to buy one dose. It cost about 1 billion dollars to approve a drug. The estimated number of people addicted to heroin in this country is 300000-500000. So lets just say every one of those people want to quit ( which is bullshit alot dont want to quit). Each person only needs one dose. Say one dose is 100 bucks, 100 dollars a piece multiplied by 500,000 addicts equals $50,000,000. So by selling one dose of ibogaine to every addict in the country nets 50 million dollars and it costed 1 billion to get the drug approved. So thats a loss of 950 million dollars. Its a horrible investment. And it sucks but in this country for drug companies the motto is profits before people. Theres many many drugs out there that could be be incredibly beneficial but they will never get approved because of the fact they cant make money on it.
Yup I've spend some time reading about ibogaine a few years ago. It looks like it's about the closest thing we have as a cure to heroin addiction. Gonna have to start reading about it again it's a very interesting plant.
