Switching up routine
Hello, I've been training for 7 years now I'm 23 what I was doing was training for myself my health and to look good. Lately I've noticed that I haven't seen that pump or the gains as I did before in the gym maybe because I've been doing the same old for past 7 years, but I have switched up exercises but been sticking to bodybuilding workouts. My goal for this post is to get some new ideas on training different routines and different splits people do, recently I've been doing some power-lifting work to switch things up any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Don't forget to have deload weeks. That is very important no matter what kind of training u r doing.
What I do sometimes to switch my routine is, I will walk to the gym and If I'll see a buddy doing the same body part I do, I join him, the next day I will join him, next week I will workout with somebody else. I do it with friends at a similar level I am of course. Everyone has their own favorite routine, speed and number of reps. It is fun and we both benefit by learning from each other. But finding different routines is as easy as finding a music video on line. Cheers
That is defiantly something new that I've never heard someone do, I like that different speed of pace different reps sets each day each week nice man thank you I'm gonna give that a shot!!
No problem buddy. Try it, it can't hurt you. Some of my friends like to lift heavy and some prefer focusing on every rep with lower weights. It is a lot of fun. Just don't waste to much time on talking. Push each other to the next level
That's my thing I need that push to the next level been doing it for a while now same partners same routine and I've gone to working out alone now but working out with some randoms is really good idea def appreciate it bro.
Could be calories and macros too...
I personally feel like I eat a ton but I have realized I have a fast metabolism but a person can only eat so damn much you know and just like I replied to the guy below a lot tell me to do a dirty bulk but I feel like I'd feel like shit personally but I have seen it work for a lot of people as well. It's just that I love being lean.
I feel like i eat a ton too....sometimes paying close attention to your TDEE in comparison to your lifting regimen might give u an idea how to balance food intake and exercise regimens....
Yeah I think I need to measure that throughout the entire day one day and then base my calorie intake off of that. Thank you for the tip I appreciate it!
No problem....keep us updated
will do! now one more question measuring the amount of calories burned in 24 hours should that be done on my day off or with the gym sessions included?
I would do both. That way u can adjust the calories up, or down, based off activity. Its not.bad to over eat.
Ok I will do that this weekend. Thanks bro!
U bet...
The internet is at your fingertips, you google training routine and get a thousand hits. The same with nutrition. There are too many to list and you are young so try one for a month, if you still gain nothing try a different one. You have to find the one that works for you. Make sure you are eating an excess so you also grow.
I eat and eat and eat I just feel like my metabolism is so high and I don't just want to eat whatever because I like staying lean that may be the issue I've had a bunch of guys at the gym tell me to bulk over the winter like a dirty bulk but then I feel like i'd feel like shit personally. As for the training routines yeah I've looked at a ton just seeing if there was anything people have personally done that isn't on the internet that's all.
