Strength for first cycle? What should my focus be?
ad
Obviously new here. Been doing just test cyp, or test enth, or sus for about a year now. Looking to do a real cycle. Probably basic deca and dbol. I'm pretty skinny. I'm not the strongest never have been. Should focusing on just strength be a priority. How much would that help in long run and how fast does it go away after off cycle.

Depends on goal but whatever it is first step is always gaining strength
When it comes to true powerlifting strength you have to train heavy with low reps, but in the process you risk a major injury occurring. I do not advise this type of training to anyone who isn't familiar with powerlifting. The training is totally different from bodybuilding. Now you want strength correct? It's like this, size isn't always indicative of strength. Genetically we all have different muscle fiber types..a mixture of slow and fast switch muscle fibers. Now through training it has been found that these fibers can indeed be converted around more or less. You could probably mix rep count up alternating high and medium reps....stay away from low reps. With medium reps allow more rest and recovery time. And if you've been on testosterone a year above trt dosing you need to get a blood check sooner than later.
Idk if you been on “trt” or what but doing steroids for a year and THEN going on like. 3 month cycle is really just a 15 month cycle. I’d suggest getting bloodwork and coming off for a while first unless your prepared to do this for life because you’ve already been shut down for a year and you haven’t even considered yourself “on” yet.
And with the strength thing, they are very different training and I’ve never really trained for strength but almost wish I had. For my size I’m weaker then I look. I think it would help if your stuck to maybe switch things up and focus on strength for like a month or something. If you get stronger and then go back to hypertrophy training I think your body would get a little shock and start growing again. But also as long as your utilizing progressive overload you will be getting stronger and bigger. I’ve found that the problem is when im stagnant and not pushing myself more and more and just training on autopilot and not increasing the weight or intensity
And thus us what I need. I am like you I think. I feel that for my size i should be much stronger. I feel it hinders me a lot.
Ya I think I screwed myself training high volume and lower weight for years so now I’m mostly fast twitch fibers(or whichever is more for endurance then strength). But the plus side might be that if I switch to low volume and high weight now I can maybe hit like another growth phase. At least I’m hoping. I can tell that going heavier is beneficial because I’ll go pretty heavy on pulling movements just because they are safer and easier on the joints then heavy pushing movements and the muscle I use for pulling are better developed then my pushing muscles, if that makes sense. That’s why back day is my favorite, cause those are all my heaviest and like hardcore lifts so I feel the most bad ass lmao
Yes sorry. I should have been more detailed. I have absolutely been on trt therapy for the last year my apologies. And I definitely do get blood work done and I finally got it after this year for my levels are pretty much on point.
Since when wasn’t test considered a real cycle.
Bodybuilder or power lifter. Need to pick one cause the training is totally different.
Well the test I was doing as TRT just to get my levels correct. I wasn't doing copious amounts of it trying to get jacked.
6ft tall and 210lbs it says in your profile. Certainly isn’t skinny mate lol.
Wmrge answer to that depends on your goal(s) really. What are you looking to achieve?
Well. That is my actual picture on my profile. Didn't think I looked overweight but everybody has their opinion I guess.
Anyway. I'm gonna be real with you I'm just trying to look good. Emphasize hip to shoulders ratio. All I meant by the being skinny is that losing weight is easier than putting on weight. I can eat anything and I m8ght get a belly from it if I sit around all day doing nothing.
I don’t think he was implying your overweight, I think he meant your not a little scrawny guy. Like we wouldn’t look at your pic and stats and say your skinny guy, you’d say you were a muscular or athletic guy. Skinny is like 6ft 150 lol
Exactly that ^^^^
We see a lot of guys that are 6ft, weigh 150lbs and want to jump in gear. Actually meant you’ve built a base, a compliment.
Oh I got you. I wasn't upset but I admit I got a little self conscious. Like damn have gotten fat and people have just been being nice to me my whole life.
Thanks for the clarification since I really did take it the wrong way. My apologies.
