You gotta look up the rotatoreliever http://www.rotatoreliever.com/ (also elitefts sells them)
my good buddy has been having rotator problems for awhile he is over 40, benches 450 raw
600 single ply and 700 multiply. he ahs been using this thing for a month now and his shoulder is much better. it puts traction on it at night and also comes with little weighted balls that you do exercises with to strengthen the shoulder. also check out a prehab exercise called the shoulder tornado (i think thats it) also take stretchy bands hook them to power rack or something that wont move, wrap them around wrist and just let it pull shoulder all diff directions this seems to work well also.

Checked out the site. Looks cool. Still not convinced but it looks cool. Kinda pricey and I'm curious how it could keep tension on the arm. What does it connect to? Anyway +1 for the contraption. Lol

Something makes me nervous about that site... maybe its because it has a MD holding this stuff saying its good.. Just because someone is an MD doesn't mean they're qualified to help you with a hurt muscle. He could be anything from a neurologist to a proctologist. If it was endorsed by a Physical Therapist then i might be more inclined to list.

Look the rotator cuff isn't just a single unit. It is a name given to a combination of muscle that have different effects on your arm (much 'groin', or 'Hamstring'.. no such thing as the 'Hamstring muscle'). To properly diagnose which one of these muscles is hurt and the proper excersies to fix it, you need a professionals help.

I'm not a professional (yet i'm going to be one in a few years;)) However, if you want to save money, what i did is searcher the shit out of the hurt area, attempt to Identify which muscle is hurt then Youtube exercises for that muscle.I'll try n help get you in the right direction though... If its overhead pain, its commonly the Supraspinatus muscle. i would start there and see what you find. and as always Ice and Ibuprofen

Actually...I have tendinosis of the supraspinatus tendon and have researched the topic obsessively. Nsaids such as ibuprofen is one of the worst things you can take. It will cease the synthesis of type I collagen and result in jelly-like type III collagen aka tendinosis. I agree with you on the exercise...I religiously do internal/external rotations etc. But that weird contraption might just be another gimmick...probably is. But if you've ever had excruciating pain trying to sleep from rotator cuff pain then you would notice the things they are advertising sounds dead on. Whether it works or not is a different story.

There are conflicting Peer reviewed Journals on whether Ibuprofen negatively effects on the body. I've suffered from some tendinitis and had great success with light dosages of the medication. but i agree that professional help is required

Not really

ookkaaayy... If you can produce some peer reviewed journal or reputable medical data, i'm always happy to learn... If your just telling people what you've heard from someone in the gym i don't think it should be spread around too much... as it stands I'm just going off of what I've learned in an accredited university and from my experiences working with Physical therapists (who, along with doctors, told me to take anti-inflammatories.) I understand you feel you have some knowledge about the subject since you claim to suffer "Tendinosis" and have "researched the topic obsessively" perhaps if you researched a little more then you would know there is no Inflammation accompanying Tendiosis. So perhaps Ibuprofen or Naproxen wouldn't be as beneficial for you; for our injured friend, who might have TendonITIS,it may help. As i stated in my first post SEEK PROFESSION HELP. unless that's what you where 'not really'ing.. can't tell

Sounds like you'd make a good g.p. you know...Jack of all trades, master of none.

haha right because eventually having a Masters In Exercise Physiology isn't a focused profession. I came here honestly trying to help someone not get in an argument with someone. Davey Dave, if you need anymore help feel free to PM me. Ludwig, Enjoy minimum wage. peace

Maybe one day...very presumptuous for not being there yet. But anyway, high five your underlings at the dorm. I got a spacious house to enjoy. And you came here as a nay-Sayer need I remind you. Anything positive you had to say you were just parroting. C-ya

Internal and external rotations, focusing on the eccentric part of the exercise. Stay away from overhead exercises and nsaids until better. Sometimes I overload the weight on a cable pulley, use two hands to extend the weight and ONLY do the eccentric part of the exercise. It looks like some pussy ass shit but 1) i'm not in the gym to impress anyone but myself and 2) do you want some relief or not. Real talk
