-1 Opinions on 2 a day training
ad
Ok guys. New to the site.
- I don't work. I have a disabled spouse and we both stay at home
- I have nothing but time from the time my son goes to school until he gets home .
- I have funds for optimum nutrition and supps.
I'm looking for opinions on a 2x daily workout regiment.
Pros vs.cons
I just want to get maximum results and if anyone thinks a 2x daily routine would be beneficial IF YOU HAD THE TIME . Like I said I have nothing but time and the gym is less than 3 miles from home.
Let me have it guys. Give it to me raq

You can if you don't every day. I recently started 2 a days myself but only on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I workout twice a day those three days but for no longer than an hour (usually like 45 minutes) each session and with a good 10hrs or so between sessions. So take a guy who goes to the gym 6 days a week. He works out 6 times a week and has only one off day to fully recuperate. Well I get the same 6 workout sessions in a weeks time but with four days to recuperate instead of one. Same volume but 4x more recuperation time.
i wish i had the time/energy/money to train twice a day, sometimes there is a muscle group i want to hit another time during the week but i just cant work it into my schedule. especially when im coming early for fasted cardio
AnonI have to convince myself just to go once a day, I can't imagine going twice a day. I need your kind of time and motivation.
"Your right. I'm a fool for thinking I could get a few honest opinions on 2 a day training for this thread."
I actually think that you got some pretty sound replies from the guys here - especially Irish and Dom (who - in case you missed it, was actually very supportive). You are the one who said "Let me have it" - so take what you get without whining.
Maybe you didn't read the comments in the right frame of mind. So, I will waste my time like everyone else and give my opinion. I was natural from age 27 to about 55. I trained 6 days a week for years and after a while saw no further growth/development. During my late 30's I tried the 2 x daily workout x 5 days a week. I again saw no developmental growth. I looked my best at age 42 working out 1 x 5-6 days a week. Diet, aerobics and training was spot on. IMO 2 x daily, unless you are running a lot of gear doesn't actually make you grow any faster. In some ways it can cause over-training which will set you back through muscle 'burnout' and injury.
But hey - do what you want...if you don't want answers - don't ask questions.
Should be periodised. Same as everything else
I did 2x a day based on the Arnold system but I was taking some prohoromones and different supplements like that as well as eating like a freaking fiend, I wouldn't suggest a 2x a day program for anything other than an unnatural bulk cycle, and even then you'll have to manipulate your diet to fill the extra calories your body will crave. If you're trying to cut, avoid it, there are better ways to do it, but diet diet diet my friend is always the key.
Not a fan when bulking. In my opinion you would have better luck training once per day and maximizing sleep and food. I find I grow best if I can get a 2-hour nap everyday and 8 hours of sleep at night
Ok. So if all other things are exactly the same with no variance. Diet, sleeping, etc. U think 1 time a day is optimul
Awesome way to train IF done properly. Blindly doing 2x/d workouts without knowing the science on how to do it will just screw you up in the long run and set you back. Looks like I might have to do a post on this.
Please do. I have been trying to find some good articles in on it. But shit
basskiller89I think it depends on the supplements you're taking
Are we talking vitamins, gear, peptides?
I wouldn't encourage anyone to work out twice a day unless they are on some pretty serious not over the counter supplements. It's excessive and is going to lead to more muscle tears than your body can fix. I would expect someone to be constantly sore if working out 2x a day on natural supplementation. However, everyone responds differently to different things, so the only way to find out is to try it and see how you feel
RustyhookerHis other post bro. Ment, dbol hgh igf..... and hes claimed 4 weekd dbol prior to ment cycle in review.
basskiller89Anytime I see HGH + a peptide in the same sentence lol ..
x2
Pros are your fresher on the second part. I do splits four days out of six. By the time I do my major part , calves and abs my intensity and energy are gone.
Hello Sir,
We would need to have some more information about you Sir before suggesting anything, first of all your statistics and goals. If you have never been training before, we would suggest to hit the gym 3 times a week for a full body workout, if you have won your local bodybuilding or powerlifting competition, that's different story. Two weight resistance workouts can be beneficial or can be counterproductive depending on your goals.
In regards to food supplements ( if that's what you mean), considering your circumstances save that money and buy something nice for your wife. Local grocery shop will fully cover your nutritional needs whether you're a beginner or advanced athlete.
Hope this helps.
Regards
I feel like just based on the three threads he has posted, two of which have aggressive doses/cycles in them, we probably should see a pic to see what he's working with.
Nick, if you are 33, how long have you been training? Whats your bf? You left it blank. Also, been off for two years as well, was it injury or choice? Its going too be tough on your joints going through the kind of volume being on cycle puts you through if you haven't been training for the past two years.
RustyhookerYour other post suggest health issues sir
Let’s start with a pic and see where you’re at. I wouldn’t recommend someone start doing 2 a days unless they’re already at a very high level of performance physique wise and they have all the necessary food and supplements in place.
I have pics I just have to get them uploaded. I'm getting hammered by another member calling me a liar over couple of days discrepancy . I get negged and he racks up points. But whatevs. Just wanted some input .
Hang in there bro. We get so many trolls and fake profiles. Guys posting pics of ifbb pros but then asking how to set up a pct or some other basic question. Newer profiles are under a microscope. Hang out if you like and learn and share and you’ll be taken seriously.
With anabolics and hgh you can train 2 times a day 5 days a week
What are your goals.
To be onstage if I'm being honest.
I have the time, resources, and mindset to get it cracking. I don't drink. No dope. No smoke. Eat clean . Was just curious if 2x daily training would propel my physique to a new level.
I mean I know it's my body and I've gotta figure it out I was just looking for firsthand experience with 2 a day training
You can train 2 times a day, take every drug known to man, have the best diet in the world.....but if your genetics are shit then you cannot beat that. You should do more research on genetics, bone size vs maximum muscle, max potential based on age size e.t.c. Get out all your family photos and look at the men in your family and their size. Its about being realistic. Lots of people have a dream to get on stage, and lack the genetics to do so. Look around the gym and watch the people you see day in and day out look the same even after busting their ass every day. I bet if you ask them they say they have the same idea. You dont have to be in the gym half a day to get results and if you do then the answer stares right in your face. Just train and enjoy doing it, its not a race, its a marathon.
Dominick77Well, hypothetically speaking, granted you train smart and efficiently and DIET is spot on...HELL YES training twice a day would propel your physique to a DIFFERENT DIMENSION. I wish I had the spare time like that and was able to train twice a day. Thats basically pro bodybuilder status. Think about it this way....if you completely dedicate yourself to something, and your time is spent 100% in trying to achieve that goal, and you wholeheartedly are in it for the long haul....whats to stop you from achieving your set goal? If thats what you truly want, and from the sound of it, it is, then go for it and get that shit bro! Good luck to you bro.
Don't talk to me anymore tonight. Thank you in advance
Dominick and Irish are genuinely trying to help, not sure why you needed to be negative towards them.
I think you can understand their response based on the type of cycle and questions you are asking, right?
Your right. I'm a fool for thinking I could get a few honest opinions on 2 a day training for this thread.
If u want the mods can delete my threads . I won't ask anymore questions or post anything else.
Thanks guys
