I change exercises every workout and will flip every few weeks between heavier weights and higher reps.
sgtstedankoEvery 4-5 weeks or so. If your still progressing that's great, but I'm a huge believer In muscle confusion. Sometimes you don't have to switch up much, but its important to continually change it up. To shock your muscles & your body; & especially your brain as well, to the same extent. Feel free to pm me

Worry less about 'shocking' your muscles and worry more about progress. Be it more weight, another rep, less time resting, or whatever, the only thing more important to development than progression is diet. I've run 5/3/1 for going on 8 months straight now and I've seen far better gains with it than I ever did a 3-5 day split with constant changing things up ever few weeks.
SHIT. now i wanna change shit around.
is changing the exercise enough to shock or do i need to change the whole rep system because i like this style of training, its working for me.
Anon4 to 6 weeks. IMO changing it too much and then nothing is going to shock you except a lay off.
Once again I'm with you Abby, I try and change it up every month.
Its always good to shock your body even small changes can make a.difference such as changing your rep range here and there I personally change my routine every month or so
