Do you get sore?

ad

Guys im sure this question is asked all the time but im asking again anyways. I did back 3 days ago. I left it all there in the gym and left feeling good about the workout. But...the next day i wake up not feeling anything back there. No soreness what soever. It's frustrating to me. In my mind if im not sore then i havent done something hard enough of the right way. Or maybe im wrong. Do you guys get sore after every workout? And if not is thast a bad thing?

Hey mate training back is one of the hardest muscle groups to train effectivly (in the feeling department anyway). One of the best tricks that I was told a long time ago and I still tell others, is think of your hands as hooks just holding onto the bar. Concentrate on pushing back with your elbows. What this does is it aids in creating the mind muscle link. If you have ever noticed that your grip is slipping when doing pulldowns or rows, your focus changes to hanging onto the bar as opposed to contracting the muscle. Also make sure that you are arching your back, simple put it push your chest out as if you were trying to impress a chick. It took me around 6 years of good hard training to be able to train my back properly. It was an old saying that BBing was a 10 year apprenticship. As for the soreness when you learn to contract the muscles correctly in your back they will get sore, believe me.

When I'm off, I get sore for a day or so.

When I'm on, only legs have residual soreness and it passes quickly (comparison to "normally")
