I'd be more worried that the soybean oil in the can is partially hydrogenated. I'm sure if you're draining it out it can't be THAT bad fro you.
Nope, octopus is pretty good for you. High in potassium, low in fat, high in protein, only thing you have to watch out for (like a lot of seafood) is high cholesterol levels. Plus, octopus is pretty low on the food chain, so their mercury levels are really low.
Are you close by any type of Asian market by chance? A lot of them will usually sell live (or at least fresh) squid and octopus.
Nice, yea I drain it than try to wash as much oil off as possible, no not close to any market like that. That would be great though

I love that stuff.I haven't been able to find it locally, but when I'm on the road and I find it,I'll eat it everyday. The squid isn't bad either.
I had sex with a can of octopus once, let's just say the protein content went up quite a bit.
Sorry, I'm buzzed
yuck, why not just eat tuna
Tunas to blahh for me unless it's sushi. I can't add mayo to it, but a can of tuna has 16 g protien and 5 grams of fat. So what I did was wash the octopus in water to get rid of the soybean oil and added seasoning than added it to a skillet with olive oil, the best
No1I dont understand how it would be bad
yes protein is very bad i say lower your intake to 50 grams a day ;-P
