A nice little late dinner. Had a decent post workout meal so I wasn't hungry until later on. Buuuut it's Friday, gotta crush some steak. Sous vide to 133, finished with the flame thrower so served around 135 degrees internal temp. Ate the rest of my broccoli yesterday so it was just steak and potatoes this eve, food of the Gods. Hope everyone is having a great night

Well Bro I gotta say - I like the look of the runny mashed potatoes!!! Almost looks like colcannon which is a fave of mine with chicken. As long as it has no lumps in it then its good with me LMAO
I've been eyeing up getting a sous vide cooker for a while. It sounds great. But i'd probably never even pull it out of the box. Sure makes a great looking steak though.
I use an Anova. Set up some alerts on offerup or fb marketplace and troll for deals, particularly ones with the container. If you can score a set for $100 or less you're gold. If you don't end up loving it you can just sell it, likely for a bit of a profit.

I added a bit too much half and half before stirring at the end. Steak was ready at that point so rather than wait for them to thicken I just plated up. But I agree, I prefer a thicker more whipped texture

That's the magic of the sous vide, perfect temp every time.
