+ 1 Fast and simple breakfast
We all have these days with little to no time for breakfast in the morning, no time for making eggs and so on
So what to do?
Eat Nothing? Wrong!
Stuff some Cornflakes or Bread with Nutella in the face? Meh ... could be better.
Here is my quick fix:
Equipment: Mixer
- 30 g of protein powder (Vanilla or Banana)
- 100 g fine ground oats (grinded oats, like floar or powder)
- 100 g frozen berries mix (without added sugar)
- 300 ml milk 1,5 % fat
Put all in and mix for about 10 sec
Stats:
Kcal 657
Fat 14 g
Carbs 86 g
Protein 45 g
The shake has a good load of protein (fast from whey, slower from oats), slow and complex carbs from the oats (and 15 g fast carbs from the milk) and some fat (mostly good fat from the oats). It will keep you full and can be consumed on the go. Instead of breakfast you can drink such an shake before missing a meal.
Further its full of antioxidants due to the berries and it is refreshing, escpecially in the summer!
You can adjust the carbs in diet by reducing the oats, which makes the shake also thinner.
In winter time you can add cinnamon for flavour.
Enjoy

My question would be, when do you have time? Meal prep something for 5/6 days when you know you won't have time in the mornings to get some legit food in you. I've been doing:
100g instant oatmeal
1 Scoop Iso (feed the body what its craving right away)
Water to the consistency you enjoy
Heat and stir in a teaspoon of coconut oil
Throw 20-25 almonds (any good nut, no homo) right on top
Maybe a little honey if you got time and out the door. Honestly I've poured this into a shaker bottle before and rolled. It's too easy and always a great start. I'll start a new thread on doing a meal prep for frozen "breakfast burritos" I've been trying to perfect. I love eggs too much not to have the time to make them in the AM brother. Good luck and keep eating...
I'm not a fan of supplementing food for shakes but sometimes it happens. I take shakes to compliment my nutritional regimen.. Especially when timing in carbs or adjusting my macros. Nice write up.. +1
Thanks bud, I agree with you
Its called supplement for a reason, to enhance and compliment your meals and not to replace them
I use protein powder mostly in the morning and after training with fast carbs, to give my body fast absorbable food to fuel its needs before the real food is absorbed, which takes longer
Fuck the protein powder, prep your food. Simple oats n milk if needed.
Real food is better, on that I completly agree with you
Thats a quick fix if you cant eat real food cause your short on time or such, better than nothing
I take protein powder as a supplement to real food, not a replacement
trash300I'd double up the portion
Good breakfast!!
Yeah tbh my morning breakfast is about 900-1000 calories my almost a 4th of my days food
I incorporate whey protein shakes most mornings in my breakfast as the fast digesting can go to my straight to my muscles after not feeding them nutrients during the night. I try and stay always from dairy tho bro. Too much negative things coming up about it lately
Rite on! ^^^^ + ..Fast protein and carbs to refresh ur body after its nightly rebuild. I wake at 4am and won't be able to consume a real meal till 6, so shake is ticket.. And go light on the milk if not all water.. also add a little local raw honey and u have a great post workout shake...
