+ 2 Eating the right meats, sometimes the wrong way
I have been reading a lot on Nutrition. I am SERIOUSLY limiting variety and I am about 3.5 weeks away from starting my first cycle, but I have been working on my diet for months. I don't go by a specific set of rules and I am about to start. I thought some of you pro's could explain the why's on what I do.
My meat Market sells meat in bulk at amazing prices. Sometimes I get exactly what you guys eat and sometimes I get whats cheapest, I am far from perfect, but I'm not stopping by Mcdonald's, but I need a few things cleared up. Its newbie/ novice questions but I have to ask.
I just bought chicken quarters, never frozen for .45 a lb . I bought 80 lbs and bagged it in 1 gallon ziplock baggies.
I just bought boneless skinless chicken breasts for 1.00 a lb. I bought 40 lbs and divided into bags.
I also bought a whole pork loin and had it cut into 1 inch pork chops for .79 a lb.
I know the dark meat chicken and pork isn't what I see. I consider my cheating on a diet to be eating a fattier meat, not eating mashed potatoes and donuts.
So here is my question. When fry eggs and eat the yoke, how much am I hurting my nutrition? I see everyone posting egg whites.
When I eat those pork chops with that fat around the edges is it really that bad since I haven't had hardly any carbs that week other than the good ones in my green veggies?
I can't eat cottage cheese. I hate it, I am looking for more and more things, but I am also buying meat in bulk to save money and get those calories.
I am lost, but being very strict compared to a normal lifestyle of bread, potatoes, and Mountain Dew.
I don't have to be spoon fed. I just wondered if anyone had anything they would like to say to me. I will continue reading your awesome diets int he meantime that I just can't get myself on.
If you reply thank you for your time. I'm learning. I have been for a long time and thank you all for the posts I have read and didn't comment on. Some were 7 years old, but still great info.

jayiskhonestly in the US if you eat out at a restaurant there is a good chance when you order fish off the menu you are getting tilapia. its a cheaper fish and easy to disguise. Obv. they cant pretend its salmon.
and if you every see the daily special is fish whatever and comes to you served covered in some type of sauce with a lot of lemons..., chances are its been laying around for a while. so no need to take a scoop of Colon Cleanse that night..lol
I limit how much I go out because of that. When I order fish or steak at a restaurant my wife hates it because I make them bring it out so I can see it first.
I worked in the restaurant business as a teen and some of the shit I seen.
jayiskif some people got to see how filthy restaurant kitchens are and the way they dont properly store food or cross contaminated shit they would never eat out again. and that goes for the more expensive restaurant too.
you should just go in the kitchen and watch them cook it...just take the tire iron out of the trunk with you..lol
The look on my face alone would be the tire iron. Funny thing you say that, Normally I go to restaurants where you can see inside the kitchen and/or bbq places that do the cooking out in the open.
Interesting. Thanks for the link. I probably eat it twice a week.
They say because the omega ratio is backwards it causes inflammation instead of helping. Try not eating it for 2 weeks and see if theres a difference.
I'll let you know. Actually had Salmon for lunch yesterday and Tilapia from dinner. Since I've been watching my sodium I order it in restaurants almost every weekend.
Had it at Outback yesterday..
I have an almost unlimited supply of free Catfish from a family member. I have been grilling it when I get it. Not the same as fried, but when he remembers to bring me some it sure is a good break from chicken.......
