+ 1 Trt and t3

ad

I'm about six months into my trt at 200mg test cyp, also on 14 micro grams of t3 twice a day and I cannot drop a pound. I have played with the test dosage going up to 500 just to experiment and it's all been a failure. I also take .25 of arim 2x a week and danizol to help my free test. Any ideas? Im 36 5,9 230 at about 23% bf

Sniff,.......... I recognize that smell,............ normally found under a bridge.

Dr's do NOT prescribe T3 on a whim.
Dr's do NOT start try patients at 200mg a week of testosterone.
Dr's do NOT prescribe enough extra testosterone so you can experiment at 500mg a week.

Gentleman the OP is our newest TROLL.

I’m with you on most of it but I will say my doc just prescribed me 200 a wk and then I go for blood work in a month and will adjust according. But he definitely didn’t give me enough to mess around at 500 a wk.

Thanks everyone, I need to take this t3 way more seriously.

If been on the t3 for 4 months, it was 12.5 and he bumped it up to 14. At this point I want to stop using it, do I just quit cold?

Why are you taking t3? To lose weight? Dont. Do yourself a favor. Your thyroid is not something to screw with. If you fry your thyroid its just like cooking your hpta. You will be on pills every day the rest of your life and low tsh can be as bad or worse as low T

Edit. I see your dr prescribed t3? Should be t4 Levothyroxin if your tsh is high which means your hypo. An underactive thyroid. If you have this that may be why you cant lose weight. Could also be the cause of a lot of other issues.

and low tsh ........

Low tsh (thyroid stimulating hormone),........... is a good thing,............. high tsh is where you have trouble.

And thyroid disease is way worse than low T. I have first hand knowledge.

If your body is not making enough thyroid hormone your tsh will go up to try and fix that. And the same is true the other way, so if a person produces too much their tsh drops, that could be fine if its in the normal range, but if tsh is very low then you have a metabolic mess, so not a good thing.
I have an underactive thyrd (hashimotos thyroiditis) so I dont know too much about the hyper side of it, but the hypo I know enough.
I dont have low T but so its tough for me to compare but you're right. The thyroid does so much to our bodies when its not working that shit sucks.

wanted's picture

How long have you been doing it to a T
ALSO whats your carbs, fats and protein set at

RangerVet's picture

You have a simple issue. Your diet. Period. Whatever your doctor tells you to take then take. Stop eating after 6pm, nothing. You will not die. Reduce your calories. Increase your cardio. Stop eating grease and sugar. Them after 6pm you will be burning up fat because your not stuffed with food. Once your bf gets down your thyroid may work on it's own or you may need thyroid medication. Do not stop if a doctor prescribed you thyroid medication!

Jayzgainz's picture

Good!.....Dont fuck with your thyroid! I dont think most realize what it does.

Absolutely! Keep it in normal range. Do not fuck with thyroid recreationally! Your playing with your metabolism for the rest of your life!

The way it sounds I'm better to drop the t3 and just run the test

Jeckllnhyde's picture

My doctor, the same that started me on trt.

Jeckllnhyde's picture

Thank you steroidmen, that's what I'm looking for. The t3 was prescribed to me so I didn't question it much. But iv been hearing so much negativity. At that dose do I taper off or just quit?

If you doctor prescribed it don't stop taking it but doctors usually prescribe t4 for hypothyroidism , I'm prescribed 50mcg daily .

steroidmen's picture

You can only with 200mg test cyp. drop the pound , without t3 . But if you change your diet . T3 very dangerous . Don't play with a fire .

Your telling me to stop taking so many compounds and your on a site that promotes compounds? Some good feedback and a lot of bullshit! Way to make a new guy feel welcome.

IrishWOLFhound's picture

I cannot drop a pound

Drop the drugs . Eat less calories , move more.
And your of T3 dose is around the same your body naturally produces .

IrishMack's picture

Heres an idea, stop trying to use drugs to lose weight and actually get a better diet plan. Drop the cheeseburgers and pizza and beer and start eating vegetables, lean meats, and add more protein less carbs. And also drop the sugar.

Hang out in the diet section here, you will lose weight changing your diet, not adding drugs. Sorry.

Makwa's picture

How about going on a diet instead of playing around with all these compounds.
