Strange Weight Loss Effect - anyone experienced this?!

ad

Gents,

Anyone experienced fat loss from strange places when dieting/completed a diet?!!!

Specifically; I am just done an extreme fat blast, shifted approx 5kg's of fat, fast
Anyway, what I have noticed is the balls of my feet, the pads of the feet... it feels like the bone is coming through the skin when walking, very uncomfortable, and only attributable to the fat loss, nothing else has changed or needs changing like shoes/socks etc!

Very odd feeling

So what are you going to do about it...are you just going to walk around and be in pain, or what? Smile

Well........ I sort of had to!
It's hard to describe the sensation. It isn't painful. If you can picture having a chunk of sock fluff under the ball of your foot near the big toe, thats sorta what it feels like in a few places though.

By way of an update, this is what I did/observed:

A week after the post, the problem was greater and more obviously on both feet. I stopped the cut, began to glycogen load and retain some water. Withn a week, the sensation dissipated to a good extent, but was still there.. I reckon I added some fat back on for sure at the 2 weeks marker and it almost disappeared bad the right foot leving me to firmly believe the problem was a loss of glycogen fat and water, primarily fat though.

I,last week restarted my cut, and the problem is firmly back on the right foot, including toe pads and heel pad.

My problem is this... I retain mid-section fat which i need to destroy. However my fat loss is body-wide and there is a significant imbalance between the mid-section and rest of body, so this prob aint going to go away.

To try to improve comfort I have bought new trainers and socks, but sure the feeling is there even without being 0on my feet! It's crazy!

This happened to Dorian Yates once when he got down to an estimated 3%body fat. Its a fat pad in your feet and you've probably bruised your feet

TBH, once I turned 35 I always have something that is bothering me. Sometimes my feet ache, sometimes my achilles is sore, most of the time my traps are so tight that I have headaches. Elbows are jacked up and my knees always hurt. All of these things just get worse when I am cutting.

I love lifting but I can pretty much guarantee that if I just ate well and walked for exercise I would feel 10 times better : (

It could be a calcaneus spur. I dont know, just pay a visit to the feet specialist

Getting old? Tell me about it man! The thing I've noticed with fat, is when older it seems to develop with fibrous tissues too (like lipomas sort of), and no matter how much you lose, that tissue doesnt seem to drop. Age is a motherfucker!!!

Never had an issue before with my feet (or spine/posture etc.) and have always taken care of them due to the type of training in the past and also from wearing shoes for work - tend to go to wear good shoes and use cobblers and whatnot rather than generic shitty shoes - works out cheaper in the end too

I used fight competitively back in the day so running/hill sprints and all of that jazz, never an issue. Once a long distance runner gave me some advice on when to change trainers etc. She said as long as the support is intact keep the trainers but as soon as it starts to dissipate, change them. She advised that even cheaper trainers are fine as long as they support you and you change them when you need to rather than once a year or whatever! I've stuck with that and not had a problem.

This is brand new, definitely a result of the fat loss. Now I am loading with carbs at the moment so I am expecting some glycogen/water/fat addition across this weekend and next week, so it might work itself out, will have to see

The botox idea is interesting actually, a bit extreme maybe, but an interesting temp solution!!!!

I just did a quick 3 point caliper check and it estimates 9% but that is definitely not accurate
I'll do a 7 spot check at some point

Yeah its more the front of the foot, near the big toe and actually the pad of the big toe, I can feel it there too, very weird!

Actually now I am focussing on it, I can feel it (to a lesser degree) at the back of the heel

ffs
