Vial rubber stopper imploding!
ad
Anyone ever seen a vial's rubber stopper having seemingly popped /ruptured under pressure, presumably from over-crimping?
I open a multidose vial today and at first I thought someone had been at it with a needle, but on closer inspection it is clearly cored. Although I cannot see any rubber in the fluid, the rubber itself at the point of the hole seem pretty spongey/weak.
I've never seen that happen before, usually under-crimped/badly crimped vials, or over-crimped with the rubber slightly depressed...
Anyone else ever seen such a thing?!

The source pm’d me last night concerning these stoppers:
Hello Sir!
I will forward this directly to our factory on Monday and we will expect an official response from those directly involved into the production.
thank you!
Here is what mine looks like. Terrible pics but I havent gotten to the proper camera to take a close up, but you should get the jist

This is how it looked when I popped the cap
When I relieved the pressure, it sort of protrudes like this:

The ribber was most definitelydepressed inward to the vial, but then again the rubber itself does look spongey and damaged somewhat
I cant figure if its the contents that damaged it or the crimping, or maybe both!!
I would be afraid to use this shit bro (: Looks like something wrong with this rubber (:
pic one looks like a belly button
pic two looks like a herniated belly button.
...or a sphincter
I was thinking more on the lines of a lesion from a lovely disease. Eye of the beholder...
Thanks for putting a mental image in my head Greg! lol
I actually recently received the same... odd. I'll throw up a pic.
Edit: pic up, let me know if yours looks the same.
It does look the same, doesnt it?
It a defective packaging, mate, sometimes it happens. If your seller is responsible, send to him some pictures and he will resend new without defects. But it a theory, better to see the pictures first.
Cheers pump, yeah its all good, there's no drama behind it at all now, Im just curious as to what the cause is!
Funny old game eh!
I have just looked at the pictures, if that rubber was damaged, better do not use this, content can't be sterile more. I really can't figure what is this, I see such first time. But in my opinion, was admitted negligence in time of sorting and packaging. I can't imagine which surprises you can get after the injection. Better, as I said, contact your seller and change this stuff to a new one.
Or who packaged have used rubbers with defect, because bought them cheaper XD
Yea rubber in contact with glycol-ether based brake fluid or liquid made of methanol such as windsheild washer fluid.
Any of you thats shined know methanol has the lowest boiling point and ss your first cut before you reach ethanol... itll swell rubber up and make it spongey.
Also ive had pure EO dissolve a plunger on a syringe.
Not saying thats what it is but you asked if i ever seen such a thing.
Brake fluid is a mutha
Between the amount of different oils including brake fluid that ive had my hands in I got hit with a nice run of derma
As for shine, Im a homebrewer but never shined, that said im in the process of getting a hold of a nice little purifier to take my beer to the next step lol
Cheers dude
some of our compounds do have weird reactions with rubber.
the other day i pinned half of an ampule of tren suspension and left the other.half in the syringe overnight.
compound went from being milk white to Orange and settled out.
I did that with some tne/then base! I preloaded so I could inject around 3:30-4:00 am. I left it in my wife’s robe pocket:)) oh my it smelled & stained the robe
Burrr, Jar, this is indeed a base product too
I think you boys have nailed it
Let me know when you post a pic I want to see this.
hmmmm.
time to do an implosion experiment.
RustyhookerIve seen em looking like they had a vacuum to them. But pix will help a lot.
With vacuum, we add 1cc air for taking 1cc oil as normal
Yeah the rubber was definitely forced downward by the crimp. Slightly overcrimped I'd say, you could see a little depression although not in these pics
maybe the pressure and the contents (base) may have caused enough stress
RustyhookerSo odd! I saw jarhead posted pix as well.
I'm not sure what you exactly mean, once I had vials with stoppers they looked like melted and where totally porous. Not usable, so 3 vials for the trash can...
this one was visibly damaged, but it hadnt lost its integrity to the point of being porous. The seal was definitely intact, or had resealed as rubbers should, if that makes sense...
Put it up in the pic selection mate.
Ill try get a pic up dude, finding it hard to focus the moby camera on it. Might break out the dslr lol
Do it.
