Glucagen (glucagon inj.) for fat loss, myth or real?
ad
Hello there!
So, recently I came across a rumor, that taking Glucagen inj. from pharmacy (used to elevate blood sugar after going hypo from slin overdose) when fasted, will basically helps breaking down fat for energy. Literally NO forums, articles, decent reviews about it, only that glucagon (the hormone itself) helps burning fat, when we at a fasted state.
My body fat is around 15%, train 6 times a week, eating good, so Im good thx, dont "you need to watch your diet" please, its just caught my attention that nothing, NOT EVEN BROSCIENCE ABOUT GLUCAGEN!
Some experienced individual on the subject could share some insights on it, so there would be some writings about it...

Not to answer your question with a question but, are you looking for a more "cut" with striations? 15% body fat is not on the scale that would lead me to think weight loss.
It is Ozempic (semaglutide), so you were right! Any info on that?
TricepatopsOk. Thought thats what you are talking about. As of now it was on backorder because it has been so popular and it is expensive last I knew it is around $1000 for say 2 week supply. So it is going to be hard to get an insurance has been strict about who gets it. Black market have no idea. Metformin is someone like it and is much cheaper and has alot of other health benefits. One that is particularly interesting it is shown to have anti aging effects. The rest you could look up. But that is the quick info of it.
Pretty sure you have to have type 2 diabetes for it. There is another GLP1 agonist you might be able to get for weight loss. I think they say it helps you lose about 10% if your weight. It supposedly for some people resets your body's metabolic rate.
Pretty sure they said Glucagen, done some research on tje hormone glucagon (whats in the stuff) and it would add up
TricepatopsI think you are thinking of GLP1-agonist. Those have been shown to lose fat in people. Usually raising blood sugar causes people to gain weight.
