samick94ETB protein is the best. cinna bun!
Anoni don't understand what the reasoning is behind the 5g of leucine. leucine is one of the BCAAs. BCAAs have been proven to play an integral role in initiating protein synthesis, but all three must be present to reap this benefit.. the only reason i can see behind listing this on the label is to try a new nitch with a marketing gimmick..
and the enzymes? what purpose do those serve? enzymes are programmed to facilitate chemical reactions in specific molecules. for instance, lactase is programmed to breakdown the sugar molecules of lactose and only lactose. what are these enzymes and what purpose do they serve? digging further into this topic, is the fact that enzymes are comprised of proteins. the digestive system doesn't know the difference between the two actually, and within a short period, these enzyme are broken down into their comprised amino acids and absorbed into the blood stream. therefore, any functions they have are short lived at best.
i'm sure that stuff tastes good, but i would be wary of falling into the marketing schemes of supplement companies.
The last line of your post answered your first sentence for you. Looks badass on a label when you see "Now with gorrilla mitochondria!". But the fact is, the vast majority of these products are not FDA approved with many not even produced in the US. Ultimately, we just have to believe what they say is relatively accurate. I will say that protein powders and bars are the only supement I use besides FDA approved vitamins and minerals. The rest of that stuff is crap in my opinion.
Yes, there is ALOT of crap out there..that's why it takes some good 'research' with a keen eye on quality products/companies that you are willing to spend some of your paycheck on. It's pretty much like buying gear though...why would you buy from a "company" ranked 500 on here?...pretty stupid if you ask me, same thing with supps...why in THEE HELL would someone buy supps at Walmart?!?!?!? Fuckin retarded...shit is probably a placebo laced with heavy metals!! I always look for ratings and reviews and tend to make better decisions after looking at and thinking about something for quite awhile...stick to companies with a proven track record of sorts, actually the ONE thing that BB.com is good for, LOL..LOL!!
You're right about that. I bought something from Walmart when I was in a pinch one time. Shit was so packed full of ethyl alcohols that it had my digestive system tore up for a week.
AnonThat fortress shit they got fucks me up too. And talk about stank!
AnonNo doubt
Anoninteresting, Iv always mixed leucine with my protein
Anonnot a bad idea to mix the BCAAs post workout. all complete proteins, such as whey, contain all three of them. these play the role of replenishing cellular catalyst post workout so that protein synthesis can take place. all three must be present for this, otherwise you are simply taking in incomplete proteins.
there are/have been studies confirming the importance of added leucine in greater amounts in comparison to the other two BCAA's though. Leucine is thought to be the 'anabolic switch'(so to speak) and is the amino that initiates the recovery/growth process post-workout.
AnonInteresting... I guess I'm still stuck to the generalized recommendations. Love to read some of those studies tho. As time passes technology is proving some of the old schools of thoughts to be less effective than we once thought. Always nice to learn, I suppose.
LOL...now I gotta go find these studies!!
Here's ONE!!:

I use body fortress lol
From Walmart
Anonthat stuff gives me some putrid gas...
why not optimum nutrition whey protein? http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/whey.html
Anonby the way..wtf is a " Fast-Acting HYDROWHEY Whey Peptide" ? some commercial gimmick
Anonyeah. it's damn gimmick.. whey alone is a fast acting protein. i can't see any way physically possible to increase the absorption of whey without changing the molecular structure, which would render it something other than whey all together. always amazes me how quickly the target audiences can jump on the sales gimmick bandwaggons.
this is actually a good protein tho. i have no idea what they mean by hydrowhey. there are two types of proteins powders available, or used to be. hydrolyzed and isolate. hydrolyzed would actually shorten the peptide chains, which would make their absorption rates higher, but it will also alter the molecular structure to a point where quality is compromised. isolate is more ideal and is completely different from hydrolyzed proteins. this is an isolate when, so the word "hydro" is just thrown in there for some reason.. you either have isolate or hydrolyzed, not both.
Absolutely correct!! And also because the molecular structure of the protein has been compromised, I will even say that I have read some things on hydrolyzed protein being denatured..which means that the protein is rendered insoluble and useless as far as your body being able to absorb and retain it...boils down to a waste of money really.
AnonGreat point brotha
You know the theories and scientific explanations are great, But.... I've been using ON Hydrowhey for a few weeks now at waking and immediately after workouts before Cardio, like George Farah recommended in a conference with Kai Greene and I think the results have been great! http://www.eroids.com/pics/ebc-week-7-merry-christmas
AnonI use it as well. I was really just referring to the labeling terminology.
hahah idk. its alwasy rated #1 so i just use it
AnonI have tried that.. its good but the taste of the one stated above it much much better
