Drink a glass Benefiber daily !

With the amount of food one must eat to build muscle it’s highly unlikely to get the right amount of fiber for proper digestion. Very few individuals can eat greens with all 5-7 meals. Your average joe? Maybe but for a bodybuilder a good fiber supplement is essential in my opinion but wth do I know.

With the profile picture that you have I’m pretty sure you know quite a bit !!!

Well I’m definitely no pro but I would think with the amount of food a bodybuilder (especially a pro) would need to eat would easily cover the amount of fiber needed? I eat about 3000 cals a day and I easily get in around 50-60g of fiber daily.

Edit: or perhaps you’re saying because of the necessary nutrient timing for bodybuilding and utilizing certain foods for insulin spikes might complicate the fiber intake?

3000 cal is child’s play my dude. But your on the right track. Digestion is one of the biggest issues I come across with most of my clients. Everyone thinks they are eating enough until they really eat. It’s not what or how much you eat, it’s what you digest.

Oh I know it is man. I have a few friends that compete at the national level and they usually double that at my size. I eat pretty light. Max is usually 4500 but I’m a smaller guy and I build well with those numbers. And I’m also not trying to be the biggest guy around. Might try classic physique next year but we’ll see.

It’s not what or how much you eat, it’s what you digest. - so much truth behind this statement. I work with people from a basic weight loss perspective, not on the competitive bodybuilding level. But regardless this is the start of it all. Efficient digestion.

What would be some of the upper end of cals you’d see used for bodybuilding? 10k? More?

Trenabolic's picture

Maybe a strong man or someone eating a whole lot of refined carbs. 10k is excessive.i can’t imagine pushing this amount without eating crap
