12% bf
Squat 2.5 bodyweight
Bench 1.5 bw
Great clean diet
40 years old

I'm an experienced sprinter and recently diagnosed with low t. Been on 2% tostran gel (3 pumps) for 12 weeks and feel great.
Due to an injury I've not been running much. I'm ready to try anavar now and need advice on cycles please. My strength and recovery are very good but I need to catch up on weeks missed track sessions.
Thanks.

Have you researched atenolol and EPO? Not saying low dose Var wouldnt be beneficial. Just looking at it from a different angle. Agree with suggestion regarding stanozolol below.

I have over 20 years under my belt with track and gym, so I'd say I am well conditioned! I have only had 12 weeks off due to a tight adductor, other than that i am good to go. I won;t be competing until end April/May, so I am in a hypertrophy/functional hypertrophy phase. I am running track 2-3 times a week and doing 5-8 strength sessions per week. Olympic lifting starts mid march and by then I'll be a steady 9-10%BF. My diet is sorted as is supplementation, with quality bcaa, omega's, d3, pre/during/post, probiotics, zinc and mag. I am slightly behind schedule due to injury and hope a var/tgel combo will sort me out. Currently using Tgel once a day 4 pumps ( absorbing about 5-10mg)

My first recommendation would be to try some Tbol. It doesn't aromatize so you won't put on a ton of weight real quick which I think would be detriment if you are currently running the track. With it not aromatizing you shouldn't have to worry about using an AI during the cycle either. It is a slow and steady gainer which I think will help to minimize your injury potential as well and what you do gain from it should be quality mass and not water weight so you should be able to keep most of your gains. As far as dosing it, I tried it at 50 and wasn't to impressed with that dose, I would shoot for 75mg/day for 6 weeks. Ultimately, I think you need to stay away from the aromatizing orals. So this basically leaves you with Tbol, anavar, winnie, and superdrol. If you don't think Tbol is going to fit for your goals, research the other orals and we can discuss them some more then.

75mg/d for a runner? do you have experience with this?

I've ran a 6 weeker before at 50mg as a kickstart to a cycle. Put on about 4 lbs in the first month or so. Not a huge weight gainer for me but did notice better pumps in the gym and more endurance in my lifts. I did bump it up to 75 for the last 10 days and I noticed a definite bump in energy at that dose without any crippling pumps either. That really seemed to be the sweet spot. It seems like orals are a crapshoot. I'll try them at the lower doses but it always seems I have to bump the dose up a bit to get the best bang out them.

his goals are different then ours, and his receptors are fresh, the slightest adjustments for him he will feel pretty good. IMO I would start him off slow and let him decide to build up....I can put on 8 pounds in a month with T-bol at 60mg/d with only TRT active in the background. of-course im pounding food too.

Thanks for chiming in. I think its good for him to see that everybody experiences different results from these compounds and he likely may too. I guess the moral of the story is try it lower and you can always bump it up. Hopefully somebody can chime in on some experiences with var and winnie since he may want to consider them viable options also. Even though I have thoroughly researched them and am aware of their pros and cons, I am not familiar with running those compounds so I would just be parroting info.

Thanks. I am looking to gain strength quickly, as I have had a bit of time off. BF at 12% but I'll be at sub 10 in about 4 weeks. My recovery is good so I'll stick with tgel for now, as am reluctant to pin.

As long as you run your TGel you should be fine running some orals since the TGEL will keep your test stable and you won't be experiencing low T side effects. You need to be careful about gaining strength to quickly. that is where injuries occur frequently. The tendons and ligaments aren't strengthening at the same rate as your muscles so you have to be cautious when you feel your strength increasing. If you have been off for a bit, I would try and gain as much strength back as you can before starting a cycle to help minimize the injury potential.

Are you opposed to putting on some extra weight real quickly? There are some orals that will make your strength go through the roof but you could also easily put on 15lbs of mass. There are also some orals that can help with strength but you may not put on much weight. As you can see this is not a "one size fits all" scenario with orals. The more info on goals and outcomes you give us the more we can narrow down the choice of orals that may fit those goals.

Yes, I am still competing but there's no testing. No weight restrictions and I run track 3 times a week and gym 5-7 times a week. I have got my T gel dose sorted and it works well for me, but I am now ready to a simple cycle of maybe just var. I'd like advice on starting a cycle, doses and prepping for an event. Not sure about winny as the whole stiff joint issue will not be good for me.

Need a little more info on your goals so we can help design a cycle tailored to those goals. Are you looking to increase size, loose weight, gain strength, more agression etc? Fill us in and we can help.

I've done at least 10 cycles and still consider myself a beginner. My recommendation for new folks is to overwhelm yourself with research then start slow. With bodybuilding you must learn your strengths, weaknesses, and how your body responds to food and training techniques. The same is true for juice. What may work well for one person will work differently for another. Please don't start with advanced steroid stacks because you read that it was good! Start with test only. Learn how your body aromotises and responds. Next cycle keep the test and try something different. Again see how your body responds to the mainstream steroids. After 8 or 10 cycles of trying different things you should be ready to start stacking! Good luck! I also recommend something like winny with test as a sprinter. Great lean gains!

My thoughts exactly. Just didnt know how to say it

Ive only used the the t gel. No previous cycle. Cycle objective is to gain strength over the next 12 weeks.

fusebox's picture

Any cycle history or just the gel that has been prescribed for low t?

What are your goals with this? I know an oral only cycle is not a good idea

Shit is different when you're an athlete. A var cycle would be great for his goals in sprinting. Winny is the drug of choice for these guys. Testosterone would be about the worst thing he could take.
