New to gear, don't want to fuck it up. Advice and Q&A appreciated

ad

Okay, so I get out of the Army soon, and am interested in taking my fitness to a new level I can't with constant urinalysis and risk of serious punishment. I have been in seven years and when I joined as a young man, I was tiny. About 100 pounds soaking wet to be exact. I am not about 190ish, experimenting with different training and lifting throughout the years. All I have used to this point is pre-workout, protein, daily vitamin and omega-3's. My knowledge base of gear is very limited to Google. Basically I don't know shit. One thing that keeps becoming more and more apparent, is don't trust the big internet sites to purchase, and if you do it wrong, you could cause massive damage to your long term health. Health being very important to me, I'd like to avoid this. I'm really looking for a dummy's beginner's guide to a beginner cycle and post cycle. I am well educated in diet and exercise. Any tips, or anyone up to help me out with some Q&A would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Absolutely man. I'm more scared to mess up and hurt myself than I want to try it out. I appreciate your advice and would love more links. I spend almost everyday after work and the gym cruising the internet and forums, etc... I updated my profile and posted my most current picture my friend took of me after the gym. Thanks again for your time and such a speedy response. Sorry about not updating my profile earlier, I'm still kind of finding my way around this site.

Well you came to the right place. A good place to start would be to read through all of the stickies above highlighted in yellow. Then you need to be clear on your goals like do I want to bulk, cut, build lean mass. It would be very helpful if you could post up some stats. Age, height, weight, body fat, even years of training. At the very least go back and fill out your profile so anyone that's willing to give you advice has an idea as to what they're working with. Otherwise you won't get much advice. So lets start there!

Okay, done and done. I will try to add more about goals and stuff in my profile. Thanks for the heads up and taking the time to respond.

Lol no worries bro! If we're saying the same things it just reinforces the advice. Good looking out.

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I am currently trying to find my way around the site and find some info like what you posted about the 'for dummies' post. I still only have a very limited knowledge base and want to start from the bottom and build a good foundation of information. Thanks again.
