How many mg and just test?

ad

Hey there!
I have a question about a cycle I'm considering and I need to know if I'm on the right track, or just stupid.
I currently do some sort of pt at work everyday and then train mma for two hours every night. My body has been having trouble keeping up, leading me to have to stop lifting weights, which I previously did 5-6 nights a week.
Would injecting test and taking no other roids help me recover enough to train for 2 hours after work, do pt with work, then lift at the end of the day? I'd like to do it with the smallest dose possible, any idea of a ballpark to start with?

TacJac's picture

Do yourself a massive favor and do not cycle. If your body can’t handle it now, it can definitely not handle you moving even more weight when you’re (unknowingly) MUCH stronger on gear.

I’m by no means an expert in the whole HGH world, but, that may be more your speed or something to read up on for recovery. Or maybe just start with SARMS. Happy hunting buddy!

GreatSpear's picture

-1, why would you recommend adding a second compound to a guy who has never cycled and does not need to cycle? Poor advice.

Greg's picture

It's not crazy but it's bad protocol.

The "bro science" beginner cycle is designed to use only one compound -test- to see how you react. You can't do that with multiple compounds; particularly where one requires a longer cycle to see the benefits from.

Greg's picture

You've missed the point completely.

Thanks for all the tips guys, I'll just try to rest and eat more carbs.
I was under the impression that roiding would just help me recover, allowing me to train as much as I wanted, but I'm getting the impression that's incorrect.
What's the deal with skill based athletes being on it tho? I assumed it was so they could train all day and recover. Are they on massive doses to get that benefit? Or is it usually just for the strength gains?

ryl3z's picture

Do you mean a proper base as in a base of weightlifting to build from?
I've recently had to cut back majorly, in favour of mma training, but I've got what I think is a decent base, built around deadlifting, squatting, overhead pressing, bench and a few other compounds.
I'm going to keep working on other things everyone mentioned in this thread, although I'm already doing a decent amount of them, I haven't just turned to steroids as an easy way out.
When you say ill mess up my life, is it because if I cycle incorrectly, my natural test production will be shot?

ryl3z's picture

I appreciate it man, please don't take my questioning as not believing you or wanting to listen, I understand you have years more experience, that's why I'm asking questions, lol.
You're definitely right about the cardio aspect with the military tho, I guess I'm just having a hard time watching my muscles slowly shrink and lose the gains I worked hard to get (which would happen if I cycled anyway)

ryl3z's picture

Approx 12 in total, but about only 9 doing it "properly". I've had breaks in this time due to injury, work related things etc, but the longest break was approx 4 or 5 months.
I'm not trying to rush into using, or just get fast gains, I just feel like my body isn't keeping up as well as I'd like it to.
I've had to cut away most of the weights lately because I'm trying to focus on mma training, but I really want to keep up the lifting

ryl3z's picture

I'll just keep working at the stuff outside the gym as much as I can I guess then. Technique is far more important than strength, especially since being too big will just move you up a weight category anyway, lol.

TheFlash85's picture

Try a pre work out, higher carbs and a cleaner diet.
Have sustained release protein drink before bed.
Supplement some bcaa powder 3 times a day.
Plenty of ideas and options before taking the steroid step for your particular need.

Bulkdaddy's picture

I wouldn’t do anything. You’ll get to much muscle to quick and you won’t be able to pass your PT test because your endurance will go to shit. Plus all the running will cause your calves to get a pump so bad you won’t be able to walk. I speak from experience. ;)

bro I know that doing aas in the military seems like a good idea, and honestly it depends on your job as to whether its a good idea or not.

But I can tell you with much experience that if your a grunt, lugging around extra muscle on an already over stressed frame i.e. from body armor and a ruck sack full of gear. Bro its a bad idea you don't need that extra weight dude " ounces make pounds" .

Just do body weight exercises and run run run, If your gonna build anything build your legs at least that would be useful.

GreatSpear's picture

Yep, idea soldier is a skinny dude with lots of endurance. No one wants to carry the 6’4 240lb dude plus his full kit, because he’s the dude that goes down in every training scenario ever lol

But if you’ve got a nice pog job, bulk the fuck up! Lol

Sounds like you need a break. You are young. Your natural test levels should still be good. Have you had blood work. Could be an underlying condition.
The smallest dose possible will still cause possible damage to what test you have. Maybe a change in diet and a break.

ryl3z's picture

Yeah, he I've never taken any.
I've been around lifting "community's" and competitive jiu jitsu/mms for a while, so although I've been natural my whole life, I've had an interest in steroids. Since I've been natural, I've been reluctant to those involved and I felt I'd rather come here.
Joining the military brought a new perspective to my training, since I could no longer rest when I felt I.needed it, however I finished that part of training, stayed natural and do different pt now

DfromPhilly's picture

I can tell you this, if you’re special forces (at least the one my buddy is in) they do not give a lick of a fuck. A lot of the dudes are on in his unit.

DfromPhilly's picture

Agreed. I think that’s why they only test them for narcotics. Those high level guys are doing some serious shit. I’d sure hope they were on shit, especially if they have to go hand to hand.

GreatSpear's picture

They have team doctors that monitor literally everything they ingest, every supplement, medicine, etc and have constant medical support. And you better believe they get whatever legal medicines will keep their million dollar investments running 110%. But that’s the CAG, DevGru, and TFO guys. The normal military just turns a blind eye to anyone using AAS as long as it’s not effecting the unit or soldier’s health. I’ve never heard of anyone getting tested, let alone prosecuted for using it. Heard of a few busted and court martialed for selling though.

DfromPhilly's picture

Heard of a few busted and court martialed for selling though.

I’d certainly believe that. But yea I never heard of anyone getting any shit for using.

My priority number one is to keep the mma training up and number 2 is to keep the lifting up.
I have never cycled before, so I'm a complete noob, hence me asking dumb questions (I'm sorry!) But I was just hoping that roids would help me train 5× per week, do my work pt and still physically be capable to lift weights to a decent standard that night.

johnmarshall12's picture

Yes the GEAR would give you better recovery possibly allowing you to do some lifting, but it wouldn't be a miracle. You need to balance it out and get your priorities in order.

ryl3z's picture

It's only been recently that I've gotten back into mma training (I had approx 1 1/2 years away with work doing training), I used to train, but I've been doing this training about 2 months.
I definitely get enough in my diet, I eat pretty clean and have a high amount of protein, carbs and micronutrients.
I definitely feel like I'm overtraining, which is why I'm looking here for help. I'm reluctant to cut back on my mma training, so I've dropped the majority of my weights and I'm feeling much smaller and weaker as a result.
When I train, I'm definitely not the go hard guy. I'm assuming you've done some sort of jiu jitsu etc.from that comment so you should understand this hopefully, I'm a "flow grappler", I don't muscle my techniques when I roll.
I get where you're coming from regarding ironing everything out before coming across to the dark side, I just feel like I've gotten it pretty good already and it's still not enough

0newheelup's picture

Ur deffinately over training. Like some others said also, get some bloods to make sure theres no underlying problem. Otherwise ur natty self shld be sufficient to handle this abuse. Yes I do bjj (2-3 wk), weight lift (3+ wk), work is insanely physical (50+hrs), and have 4 kiddos at the house. I get exhausted and rotate training. I'm willing to bet that ur body hasn't acclimated to the mma training abuse yet, being only 2months back in. Take some time off and hit it hard again. Weight training is gonna fatigue ur muscles, but its gonna also help. I'd keep a 50/50 split btw the too. A cycle might help u recover faster but u cant stay on cycle forever. And with a busy schedule like urs, it's hard to commit to a cycle schedule.. If u do go cycle, u might want to focus on weightlifting more than mma. Just my opinion. Good luck brother, I think u know what ur gonna do and what u need to do better than me. Lol. Keep up ur hard work.

How long have uve been training like this and what's ur bf? Recovery starts with diet and rest always. Ur still young so sounds like ur over training and not feeding urself correctly. If this is a new lifestyle ur body is still conditioning itself to this daily abuse. Try alternating weights and mma. Also work on techniques vs power. U dont have to be the go hard guy.. Train 5 days (or less) a wk for now and get ATLEAST 8hrs of sleep each night. Carb up prior to training and understand the importance of a good fuel diet. Using gear I imo is not an option u want at this point. Iron out ur schedule, diet, conditioning, and recovery before exploring the dark side brother..

I understand why you're asking for stats, so all cool
I've been "lifting" for about 12 years, but I've been doing what I consider proper lifting for about 9 (as in, a proper routine, not just doing random weights machines etc.)
I'm 29, 94kg, approx 5 feet, 6 inches and I'm unsure about body fat, but it's nothing huge.
My weightlifting history is that like many people, I started out doing dumb shit, then got a decent routine down pact, doing mainly deadlifting, squat, flat + incline bench, overhead press, chin ups, reverse pec fly, pec fly, then some "anxillaries" where I can (bicep curls etc).
My goals atm are to improve in my striking and grappling, however I still want to keep my size and strength gains up, or even better, improve them. I just keep straining muscles from overtraining, so I have had to give up lifting, for technical training, which I hate.
I don't count my macros, but I ensure I eat healthily in general, with very little alcohol and I have a high level of protein through meat (mainly ground beef) enough carbs through toast or rice and a decent amount of micronutrients, through fruit and veg, not pills.
I do my best to get 7-8 hours of sleep, but work can make that hard
I'm not looking for a cutting steroid, all I want is to be able to do my work mandated physical session, train for 2 hours later that night doing grappling and striking, then lift weights.
Luckily at the moment, I don't "work out" for 2 hours a night Blum 3
The 2 hours consists of two classes, one striking and one grappling. Half of those classes is technique and the other half is sparring.
Basically, what I'm looking to do, is my work mandated pt, my 2 hours of mma (approx half technique, half sparring) then to be able to do my strength routine after and get improvement, instead of strained muscles

It's normal for your body to have problems. You're saying you work out two hours a day every night! It's counterproductive.
Regardless of the gears you want to use, remember that hypertrophy develops after a proper diet and especially during the hours of rest.
Training techniques are just to avoid getting the muscle used to monotony. The variation of movements is always useful but remember that rest is a factor not to be underestimated.
I train three times a week and I feel destroyed. Sometimes I decrease the volume and increase the repetitions by adding another day a week. I've never gone further because I can't physically resist or my level may be unprofessional.
There is a scientific explanation that you can find on google, you don't need to ask for your identity card as someone is already doing. You can get there on your own if your goal is muscle growth.
For the gears it depends on what you want to get or if you want to cut.
You need to be more detailed in the forum.

Slowly's picture

The focus of my comment was quite different.
Thanks for the details, next time I'll be more precise.

Rest is an important factor whether your on gear or not.
