First cycle
Hey guys, I think ive come together with a pretty good plan. All advise is greatly appriciated. Ill start off with stats:
23 yo
5'10"
185lbs.
Been working out since highschool, been taking it seriously for past 4 years. I have my diet in check, ill be consuming around 4500 calories a day. My BF is relativly low, and im a naturally skinny guy.
Cycle will consist of Big D Test E 300:
600mg test e split 2x a week mon (300mg) /thurs (300mg), for 10 weeks
1mg adex every 3 days starting week 2 until Start of PCT
PCT as follows:
clomid:100/100/50/50
nolva:60/60/20/20
I was considering making it 12 weeks and tapering off with prop for the last 2, then starting PCT. Hoping to have less of a crash because of the short ester and not having the full 2 weeks of being test deprived. But its my first cycle, so im not sure about a second compound like that.
Also, I read Goth's post about what to do after a cycle. He was talking about sitting back and watching yourself shrink.. I know that is going to happen to some extent, but why would it not benifit you to keep up the some calorie intake and workout regimine? Disuse atrophy, caused from lack of muscle use will break it down further, so why should i stop? Getting burned out is a great point, and it would make sence not to have much motivation after dropping weights and losing so much. But is there anything i can do?
Im NOT saying he is wrong!! Infact i am most likely wrong, but i just want to undstand why and LEARNN. Thanks guys!

Thanks guys, everything stated helps alot and it makes much more sence. You managed to answer about every one of my questions haha. Great advice and you all had some good points-
Thanks again!
The problem with keeping ALL of your gains postcycle is without that massive surge of test, you have little to no drive for a while so working out is not as interesting. Another thing is test increases some people's appetite, so after pct with no test its tough to keep your calorie intake super high.
TropicanaJuicejust some imput...awhile ago I read a way to train on cycle was to do an extra set or two with every exercise and keep the reps around 12...then when your off cycle your not going to have as much endurance, so you would perform 3 sets like you normally do, but you would add weight and drop the reps to 6-8. This way your muscles are actually lifting heavier weight, signaling to keep the muscle on, but doing a set or two less, just a thought.
honestly, i would say to save that for a couple of years and stay natural until you are at least 25. with the right diet and training, you still have a lot of natty potental right now, dont waste it by running gear too young. the expiration on that gear probably isnt until 2014 or 2015 if you have already bought it, so you should be good.
as for goth's post "i just finished my cycle now what?" :
he wasnt referring to "do nothing during pct" he was simply implying that you are going to shrink regardless.. keep it heavy, and get out of the gym quick during pct. and yes, keep calories at a surplus, and protein high.
