Cycle for weightlifters
Hello all I am a weightlifter and I am looking for advice on planning out cycles for weightlifting. I have been focusing all on weightlifting for the past two years and when I started I could snatch 45kg and CJ 90kg. I am a 94kg lifter usually walking around 91 kg. My current best total is 240kg and my goal this year is to move that total 20kgs to 260/265kgs and the following year move that total > 285kgs. For my first cycle I posted what I my plan is in my intro forum post here: http://www.eroids.com/forum/general/introduction/hello-21
My goal is to stay at 94kg and continue to improve my total.
The thing that confuses me is after I finish my first cycle and pct, when do I start again, 6 weeks/12 weeks? Is it best to only have two 12 week cycles per year?
Current best lifts are:
Snatch: 107kg
CJ: 133
Front Squat: 152
Back Squat: 171
Thoughts? Any weightlifters around with some good advice? Thank you!

Roid Noid would that mean that I would use 200mg/week for longer than 12 weeks if it brings my t levels up to a normal range?
tread-m, why do you not recommend hcg for first pct?
tread-mRN fell off my radar here but he is kinda saying see where you need to be for good test levels as a norm. If you are low T you can't go to the mega high of a cycle and then drop back to low T because not only will you realize just how shitty life was, you will not be able to retain muscle you grew on cycle. In other words, you may be a trt candidate in order to maintain health in general but certainly to maintain muscle you genetic potential did not approve of. Again, food is where growth is once the hormone battle is won. You have to eat to grow and eat to maintain it. There are mixed feelings about hcg during pct but 99% of us believe it to be too trying on certain blood levels trying to balance and counterproductive. Its a great boost leaving cycle but then you simply want to use your dual pct to remove and block estrogen which is also stimulating sex hormone binding globulin robbing up test as fast as it can recover. As you enter pct and want to keep those gains you have to eat big, clean but big and lift heavy with less reps getting out of the gym quicker. You don't want to burn too many cals while that test is in reboot. Now on the other hand, if you are low T and choose the option of trt or in this case, blast and cruise....pct is over for you. You can simply hit the hcg twice per week in the final 2 weeks of cycle (blast) and then drop back down to your trt dose (cruise dose) and thats where you stay until next cycle begins. There is never a crash in that scenario so pct is out of your life. Its important to know you are low T for sure before taking that step. Trt is for life and you will need a form of test from now on. Its like brushing my teeth really and the rest of my life does not concern me but its still a big decision. One that has to be made btw if you are in fact low T. Just like you don't want to be low on thyroid or insulin or any other hormone, normal T levels are very important. Look at all the 40+ yr olds walking around fat, out of shape, type 2 diabetes and or high bp etc. Much of that would be fixed through normal hormone function and proper metabolic rate. You do not have to be low on any hormone in the year 2012, we have science and product to fix it.
Thank you for all the knowledge. Based on what you wrote it sounds like you are on TRT?
Any good information that you could point me to on TRT? Thank you!
tread-mI cycled most of my adult life and went trt (blast and cruise) 30 months ago, never looked back! Lol glad to take you in PM if you like. Can walk you through all the protocols, help you come in on spot with bloods for trt doc iif you used one etc etc. It sounds initially much more complicated than it is. Its really a pretty easy part of your life once you get it down and learn your own body and its resposes.
Let's take this to PM. Thank you for your help.
I think your going about this smart by trying to keep it low and see how well you respond, however if you have low T already why dont you start by figuring out what dose of test is gonna put you where you need to be? My suggestion would be to run run 200mg/w test-c/e shot mon-thur and blood test in 5 weeks, that could be a very big difference in itself, getting your levels straightened out is the most important thing. If you do a cycle now and come off your just gonna go back to low T, which will most likely lead up to losing all your gains.
Thank you tread-m for the advice. I am trying to keep my first cycle as simple as possible to determine how my body will respond while keeping variables low.
My diet is as follows: *I am allergic to gluten and eggs
breakfast:
Sweet potato
Berries
Pork chop/steak or two cans of tuna
Lunch:
Ground beef 1/2 to 1 pound with assorted veggies
I usually train in the evening so post workout I hit whey, bcaas, and some berries
Dinner:
1 large piece of meat such as steak, chicken, or pork with sweet potato
I drink a ton of water until my pee is clear daily. I also brew my own kombucha and drink that and one serving of green tea or mate daily.
Supplements are:
4 tablespoons cod liver oil
10000 iu vit D
B vit complex
Thyroid support complex - selenium, tumeric, and some more good stuff
Magnesium before bed.
Thoughts?
tread-mWell before going too far into specifics I will say, If wanting to grow beyond a plateau you will have to get beyond a 3 or 4 meal day. 5-6 meals is a nice place and in fact, even if not pushing to huge size. You still get the food in if if the cals and specifics fit your exact goal rather than that one. Is size a huge issue for you or strength mainly the goal?
Strength is my only goal.
tread-mIntro cycle looks ok brother. I'm not a fan of hcg in your pct program but I do like 500 per hit twice a week in the final 2 weeks. Pretty mild cycle you have laid out but I think you may still consider the clomid in with your pct there. I would have aromasin on hand in case you need a little help with water retention. With your goals I would post up a diet you run in that section and have everyone get a look and see if we have some help there as well. With moving forward food is the goal in lifting and building and continuing to progress. Many people think they are spot on and either slightly off or not even close but either way, not bad to share it with your new friends here and let us learn from you and maybe you learn something too. Drink a lot of water on your run, limit salt dramatically and the water should stay off of you. If you run into water coming on and bp rising pop in the aromasin at a half tab eod for a couple weeks and it should clear continuing the work. Look forward to updates on your progress. Btw...monitor your blood pressure daily and get on your supp list. Need your regular supps and add omega 3's, coq10, saw pallmetto complex for DHT prevention as to prostate issues and I like to add glucosamine chondroitin for joint help. Running into tweaks and strains, tendoniditis etc, throw in some turmeric daily for healing or take it anyway as a help in prevent just take as prescribed or it can drop bp.
Thank you for information.
time on + pct = time off so if you run a 12 week cycle and your pct is 4 weeks than you would wait 16 weeks before your next cycle
