tread-mDavey I do a lot of these and going to bore you a little here for a sec for something to think about. I had been kinda off and on talking to someone close to me about trt. The idea was kinda back burnered a few times and no sense of urgeny etc. Then last X-mas I talked to him and he said said about what you described from your dad...beat up, run down etc. Zest of life slippinjg away. So I pretty much insisted, you go get bloods, get your heart checked and check out anything that looks suspicious as a result of the bloods and check up/physical. So he goes right after X-mas and does it all. Even had a concern with a failed stress test and doc did a dye test on him to check all the arteries in the heart etc. Everything checked out except his Test was through the floor. So still without urgency really we got his trt plan together and I put all the protocols I thought he needed from a semi-broscience perspective. He took it to the doc and doc said "looks great I think you benefit here". So slowly he was getting his things in place to begin trt, ducks in a row with diet etc and out of nowhere died 3 weeks ago. Can't help but wonder if I had pushed harder on trt and got his shit together a year ago if we would have this conversation. Lifes short brother quit Fing around and get his bloods done and get this shit rockin. There is absolutely no reason on earth to not fix a hormone problem when we have had the science. To do so for years. If he was not processing insulin would you put it off or get him on insulin injections? Same thing here brother, its in the loop of hormones and things are happening in a negative way at an accelerated rate FOR NO REASON AT ALL. HE NEEDS TO DO AS vike describes but for me if you have low hormone you fix that. No, you don't kick him off with a blast but even a small amount of test will change his world, it will motivate him, it will make him not only want to find a better place but give him the energy to do it. See the doc, get the crazy dbol shit out of your head (lol) ,get bloods and physical, full check up and get the ball rolling. No better time than now to get this conversation done and fixed. Its like you have this disease and the doc says there is a cure and you think, eh, I'll give it a year or 2....why? You look back on it in a year and he is healthier and much happier or you look back and say why didn't we do something when we could because God forbid he end up with diabetes or any number of things he can end up with as a result of all the secondary things going on in the body when one hormone is out of place. One that can be fixed. Again, doc driven the whole way and you don't ask doc if you can feel better you tell him you are going to and would like his help but don't let him get confused into thinking you won't move forward if he is unwilling to help. Your doc may be a great guy but they love co-pays for high bp, type 2 diabetes and frequent check ups once you've gone completely to shit so don't let that happen. This is a pro-active thing brother, don't F around and wait for doc to fix anything, they spend most of their days giving out meds for all of your problems rather than trying to correct problems in advance. I'm trying to correct problems in advance here and IMO it beats the shit out of relieving symptoms after the fact. You have today bud, don't take tomorrow for granted. This won't fix him forever but I'm focused on "right damn now". I don't like to bash docs but lets be honest, they don't fix things, they prescribe meds to make you forget you have serious problems, cover up pain etc. Nobody cares about your Dad more than you and your Dad so YOU make shit happen, do:'t wait on others to because they are busy making things happen for themselves.
56tooTread, U have helped me out so much. I gotta tell u bro, I was one of those with diabetes, hbp, hi chol, hi tris and whatever the fuck else u want to mention. No more, I take no meds and I will tell youyour "semi broscience perspective" beats the shit out of a Doctor's perspective. A doctor has agendas he's working and their not for ones benefit. He/she is either watching his/her back(liability) or his/her pocket.Yeah, with the tech we have at our fingertips today and people like u that are willing to share their knowledge, I feel much more in control than going by what a dr. tells me. A dr. to me is nothing more than a tool to get what I want from my research..period
Thanks guys im going to spread the word to him.
Start him on hi protein diet and hit the gym 3 days pr wk working a moderate heavy full body routine this will ease him into training and will get natural serotonin flowing making him feel better about himself in a matter of a few weeks.
Dont under any circumstances start any AAS until he has gotten a feel for training and eating properly.
This way he wont do ant damage to joints and tendons and make himself feel any worse than he already does.
im older and tried a legal suppliment called VNS from Lionheart. I put on 15 lbs dry n solid and kept it all. But again ive got 24yrs constantly in the gym. Also, ive done a just dbol and Winny tab cycle. 15mgs/day of dbol and did pyeamid with the Winny...10mg....first week up to 30mg......week 3. Then taper down. No sides for either cycle. Lil water on from dbol but kept 12lbs. Personally.....I'd suggest the VNS and eating correctly plus lift butt off.
If he has insurance a safer method would be Androgel. Go to his doc and explain he's tired, lack of motivation, lost interest in sex, get a blood test and he'll probably be low test. Get the androgel, testim.... script, rub it on for a couple weeks and see how he feels. Going long term on orals would be bad for his liver. If its the pain, he can pin low dose with insulin needles in the delt with low pain. Just takes a little longer to draw and inject.
Hey Dave, need more info bro, age, bf, cancer history. Gotta be careful if he is "older" and not lifting now dbol or whatever he does may make him strong enough to hurt himself. Muscles will strengthen faster than joints, tendons, opposing muscles. There is a lot to think about.
He is 58, very thin, no cancer. He is pretty healthy but he says lately he feels beat up n tired from work, tired then ever. He see's how much i grew lately n was asking is there anything for him without injections thats safe.
56tooBuddy what he may need is TRT. At that age your test levels drop to very low levels. Im 56 and I used to feel just like your dad.......not anymore bro. He should go ge some bloodwork done and see where his test levels are at. If he starts taking dbol, he is still gonna feel like shitwhen he gets off them and probably will still feel like shit while on them without any test. If you really love your dad have him get some bloodwork and go from there
The doc will need symptoms/reason to run the test or prescribe the testosterone. Low test levels are not enough without a symptom.
