to my fellow brothers of iron,
i am getting bloods done in a week or so at an independent lab through ordering the test via privatemedlabs, and the "hormone panel for females" is the one generally recommended.
does anyone know if the testosterone total (serum) that is included in this test is recorded by total number (i.e. 10,000) or by: >1500 ...id really like to order a test where i can see the total amount not just see that its over the 1500 mark. and if the female panel doesn't include this, which test does? thanks guys

No it will not give you the actual number. You have to order one of the tests thats measures testosterone as LC/MS/MS
Ok, so Am I correct in assuming the female panel isn't tested in lc/ms/ms then? Can you recommend another test that does test testosterone by that method that won't break the bank? Thanks for the replies guys
you can use the female hormone test from labsmd, or look through the tests offered by privatemd and choose one that measures testosterone with lc/ms/ms
labsmd? sweet, thanks brother
AnonI've used the female hormone testing panel and received my total serum test number.
Edit: I see what you are saying though.
AnonYes, the female panel will give you the actual number.
