+ 1 Blast and Cruise

ad

For those of you who blast and cruise, how long do you blast? How long do you cruise? What is your blast dose like in comparison to your cruise dose?

Nattyboomba's picture

It’s been said, but cruising for some is true TRT levels (maintaining something close to natural physiological function) and other we’re looking at 150-300 mg which for the vast majority of us, is well above our natural range. This is a crucial distinction in my opinion

HENCH500's picture

I don’t do it anymore beckon an old cunt so I cycle on and off now but this is recent changes I have made.
I blast and cruised for year and years.
I don’t recommend you do this but I’ll post this in the interest of transparency, I was monitored by health professionals with bi monthly blood work.
I would blast different stuff depending on my goals but it would be anywhere from 2gram to 3.5 gram give or take a couple hundred mg. I would also run 8iu hgh on blast. I would do this for 16 - 20 weeks then cruise on 400 - 500mg of test aiming for 20 weeks but in all honesty if my bloods looked good some times I would be back blasting g in 12 weeks.
I was approaching 290lbs then though.
My opinion now is I could of achieved the same maybe even better results cycling on and off and honestly wish I had of done

So in regards to the question the OP posted, is this the approach you think you will continue with now bud and come fully off as opposed to cruising or TRT?

Once you were fully off and stabilised to your own Test production again, did you actually feel good and well/upbeat or were you itching to get back on cycle again? I ask as we didn't speak much whilst you were off gear with you not being on the site as much mate.

press1's picture

This is the main part I fear mate - going backwards and forwards with it all. Making up for effectively lost time with crashed hormone levels.

HENCH500's picture

I felt crap while I was off at least that’s what I thought but I think now I just felt normal instead of enhanced, I just wasn’t mentally prepared for it.
I couldn’t wait to get back on cycle but now I’m back on … the truth is I feel shit mate . My blood pressure is back up and I’m having to take medication again , my heart rate is constantly up. I just don’t feel healthy I feel stronger firmer ect and look better, but I’m at a point in life where I’m questioning if it’s really worth it. I think after this cycle I’m going to try running a lower cycle see how I feel and take it from there maybe 500 test a week, I have some good sust on route. I think after that I’ll either be running real low cycles on and off , but in the near future I see my self on prescription TRT . My test did come back but it was at the low end of acceptable and I think when all is said and done I want to sit in the mid level. I’m 45 press I have to start thinking about health and long term consequences real soon bro
Great question btw

Bud I completely get where you are coming from, when I knock it down to just cruising on Test then at first I feel pretty negged out & vacant - you can feel that so much hormone is missing and your body is questioning what's going on. Appetite isn't ravenous every few hours and things just feel flat. So what its like coming completely off after many years must be a totally different level altogether. But then after a few days when your BP has dropped a tonne, HR is now 20 BPM slower and EVERYTHING is so much easier, you feel much more motivated and the in the back of your mind you know you are no longer damaging yourself each day you begin to feel really good about yourself. Sure when you train you are missing that extra contractile force but at the same time you are not winded at all, barely breathless and are ready to hit it again sooner. Only bad thing is when ya look in the mirror after especially in clothes you don't quite have that Big Fullness look anymore - but hey you feel healthy so thats the trade off. You then count down the days to getting back on again telling yourself that feeling is the best thing ever - But the funny thing is that once you have 3 compounds loaded into you again that all too familiar BP rise happens again, doing menial tasks become more difficult again and you have to start the BP pills over which I hate taking. For sure you sit and think man you know what - it really wasn't all that bad being off or being on much less, maybe I have made a mistake here?

Ya know what buddy, I think even if we were both 35 and had been running gear for the same amount of time then we would still be feeling the same way. After you have run gear for 5 to 10 years you begin to realise that the results and level you are at are only as good as the amount of shit you are taking, to get bigger or to get stronger requires staying on it all for the same amount of time again or taking more. Its why Eddie and Larry never went to beat their records again as they both say they know the amount of gear it takes and how long you have to feel that way. Don't get me wrong those first 5 years of discovering steroids are amazing times, everything feels brilliant and you never want it to end - but you begin to see it for what it is after a certain amount of time. I also imagine as you are a good size to begin with that on 500mg Test you could still sit at a pretty high bodyweight still, you tolerate the other stuff well too which gives you some good size when used correctly.

That was impressive reading that I felt like you were narrating my fucking life , seriously that was spot on who I feel and how it is for me I just couldn’t put the words together like that …

That's been my philosophy...some folks could achieve same look basically. Lol my thoughts will NEVER change on this subject regardless. I've seen some guys use grams and grams of gear and do everything right yet unfortunately they look like they use a basic amount of gear and that's not putting anyone down that's just reality. That's facts. On top of that I've seen what high reckless amounts of gear can do to a person so yea my thoughts have been verified from what I've always thought from the beginning. A person can use so many grams but at the end of the day if your genetics put a cap on you then that's just what it is. Genetics play a big part which some fail to realize. Glad you changed your philosophy. My philosophy will never change. Won't happen. You gotta think at some point when a person isn't growing using excess amounts but getting more sides it's just pointless to keep doing that exact same routine. Doesn't make sense to me. It's about the right balance.

HENCH500's picture

We have had some good debates and conversations about this in private bro and I have said it there and I’ll say it here , your not wrong there’s far to many guys running silly amounts of gear without the results to justify it. There’s hyper responsive guys who can grow like a weed on lower amounts and then there’s guys who need high amounts who grow well but then there’s guys who take grams and look like there on there first cycle or even natural… genetics do play a massive role but you can manipulate them if your putting g the work in …. This game is only 20 % gear the rest is all about diet , training , recovery If your not eating training and resting right you have no business taking gear

I can't disagree with what you said. You hit the nail on the head. Some guys still think it's all about how much gear which isn't the case. Appreciate your comment. It's truth

Steroidify's picture

When you're blasting and cruising, most guys blast for around 10-16 weeks, but it really depends on how your body’s responding and what your goals are. Blast dose is usually 3-4x higher than your cruise dose. Like if you’re cruising at 150-200mg of test a week, your blast could be 500-600mg or more, depending on what you're stacking with it.

Cruise for at least as long as you blasted to give your body a break and keep your gains sustainable. Listen to your bloods, though - if things are outta whack, stretch that cruise until you’re in the clear. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, so keep it smart!

23Sparta's picture

Please don’t make a decision on how much gear to blast based on what other guys take

Cruise = the least amount necessary for you to maintain healthy, optimal physiological function

Blast = the least amount necessary to achieve the desired results

Note: desired results should be based on reasonable expectations

Felt like this was me. Was running about 750mg of Sust for 3.5 months. Planned on coming off to my TRT doses of around 175mg for 3 months. Well after 1 months I felt like dirt again. Kept telling my wife I remember when 175mg felt great to me compared to how I use to feel. But compared to 750mg not nearly as nice. None the less I had bloods pulled at 2 months and everything was about as perfect as it can get so bumping the Test back up.

Between not feeling as great and bloods being really good I felt it was time to bump the test back up rather than on 3 months off 3 months like a robot.

DeeMan's picture

I'm definitely with Stokes on this and he's 100% right. It's all about bloods as you know but Stokes makes a damn good point. Take a look at what he said. Definitely an eye opener. To those guys that may disagree, nah not so fast.

TheIcon's picture

Yep Im big into blood now. Its not the end all be all but its as close as we have for us without access to hosiptal equipment.

Also big into the more isn't better. Especially when just starting a new compound. People will say you need to do XYZ amount. Im def turning into a start small and work up. Feel like back in the day it was you better do 800mg of Test and 600 of Deca else you are wasting it all.

Im also curious where time will take us in 15 more years looking back at these conversations. Will we agree with our thoughts now or will we be like wow we were dumb with the knowledge we have then.

DeeMan's picture

Some of these guys are just stuck in the certain amount of gear mentality that it's almost funny. They'll say this doesn't work or that won't work because it didn't work for them lol. I mean it's comical. What I've learned is it's just hard for those guys to relate which is understandable, but at the same time there's no need to tell another man what he needs to run. I agree with your approach man. Back in the day guys would preach 500 test minimum. We already know how that turned out. Sounds like you're not falling for what those guys are selling. Good deal man

HENCH500's picture

I agree with what you’re saying as long as your blood work is all good and that’s basically how I rolled the dice for years and years. But these days my blood work dont look as good anymore when I’m on and my BP and heart rate are right up so I need meds to control this. Would I have the same issues I do now if I had cycled on and off instead of blasting and cruising ? Fucked if I know tbh I’m still trying to figure shit out with regards to this my self , maybe the coming off then going back on has had a negative affect on me because in all honesty this is the worst I have ever felt on gear sides wise.
I know at 45 it’s time to calm down and concentrate on my health and it’s not going to be long before I just go down the prescription TRT route and chill the fuck out

Keep that mindset man. Keep it. You're 1000% right in what you're doing. Only an idiot wouldn't listen to their body. This is life, not a game. Yea we roll the dice but we roll to win at the same time.

Eventually I'll trt
