Asking doc to run bloods
ad
I had a doc that was a regular since i was in high school. He left the state and when i saw him he helped me out on cycle and ran bloods and knew all about what i did. I now have a new doc, little old asian guy, who ive never met. I want him to run bloods but last time i had bloods drawn by someone other than my doc it didnt have everything u look for in it.
Once i get him to run em, how do i do it again in 4-6 weeks and then after cycle. How do i explain a jump in test? My last doc just asked me what i was using so i told him.
Id rather not pay for bloods since my insurance covers it but dont wanna say something i shouldnt. Got appt on thur so any advice now would be great

To be 100% with you bro, I go in and I say word for word: "Listen doc, I've been running steroids and I need some blood work to make sure; it's not affecting me in a negative way." I get an evil eye here and there, but in the end they respect me and my choices because I will be honest with him... the only way to get real honest answers are to be real honest with your doctor... they can't call the cops dude...
In my area we have a lab that you can have any lab drawn and is relatively cheap and does not show up on your medical records. Wouldn't ask a new doc about he in the chance that he reports it to your insurance. Might give insurance a reason to either drop you or increase your rate.
You could just ask him to run specific test then go back a month later and tell him you do feel comfortable with the last labs can we run them over
what woudl justify a e2 test? I told him i had labido issues to get the test, drank heavy in college to get the liver and been adding weight fast for thyroid and some others... i tried saying i was emotional and edgy but he just laughed.... got a little guy that looks like Leslie Chow from the hangover
went to new doc today to get bloods. he was good to run basic bloods since it has been a year since I last ran them through a doc. he was very hesitant on test, free test and GH since I didn't have symptoms to be addressed. i told him i was feeling lazy and libido had dropped so he added them in. I couldn't think of a reason off hand to check E2 so I don't think they will be included.... should i pay the 60 and go have private work done so I have E2 number before I begin, even if everything else comes back normal from doc?
Listen to crazymofo below. Looks like he's gonna tell u how to order blood work on your own without involving your doc or your insurance. Never confide in your doc - he's gonna put it in your chart so if u get sick, he will take your steroid use into consideration with your other symptoms. He's not gonna report it to anyone - it's confidential. But, let's say the unthinkable happens and his office undergoes some sort of HIPAA compliance audit - still no excuse to review your private patient info, but I don't trust anyone these days.
i gotcha, im going to do my pre cycle bloods with the doc as a "yearly" physical then i will do the private labwork for mid cycle and post cycle. last doc i had was legit more a friend than anything. he knew because of elevated test when i was younger. He never documented anything, obviously cause he and i woudl get in trouble.
Why even risk it? I assume you live in the states. Spend the $60 bucks and don't worry about messing up your own insurance. ACA has new provisions for illegal drug use but it's mainly for 'treatment'. I wouldn't want to find out the hard way how it affects illegal AAS use. You can go get your pre cycle work done at your GP but the on cycle and post needs to be kept a secret.
fr sent bro
Fr accepted.
One of the provision in the Affordable Care Act (obamacare) was that pre existing conditions couldn't keep you off of insurance. Be honest with your doc now. Before you couldn't because you never knew if they would report to insurance you were using steroids, therefore if you tore up your knee that could refuse to pay because steroids could weeken your joints, hence pre existing condition. Tell your doctor you want your bloods taken and be honest about it. You don't necessarily need to tell him your dosing protocols but tell him you're taking steroids.
AAS use documented in medical records can be be a reason for denial of coverage. Be really careful with what you tell them. Possibly you could tell the MD "off the record".
Not with obamacare being implemented. Coverage can't be denied on pre existing conditions
my old doc was "off the record" he never documented anything. So this would be the first time I have talked to anyone about it since I was with him. My bloods should be normal now since i have been off for a while, but how do I ask for more bloods with out him knowing I am going to take steroids? Its not in my file or anything, my last doc was just really close to my family so he didn't say anything but could give me the advice and direction i needed. can i get dropped now if I say something about it?
If they dropped you for that reason, you could sue for they are breaking the law.
If you're really scared you could always buy a blood test panel and then go to a labcorp and have it done. Unless you're in the Northeast, it's like $60 and it's pretty discreet. If you live in the NE then you might want to explore options
